A few times I have been in cex or game and they've made someone an offer but then needed the persons ID to accept the stuff apparently, the said person hasnt had the ID so has said they'll go to fetch it and picked up all there stuff and left and I have followed them out the store and offerd them either just cex price cash in hand so you dont need to go home or to your car and fetch your ID or cex/game price plus £5

I've made a new Retro purchase over the weekend, I'll probably regret it but it's something I've been intrigued by and always wanted to try out since I first heard of it...a Virtual Boy
Looks to be in really good condition and comes with two games, Mario's Tennis and Wario Land. It's more of a collection piece than something I imagine I'll get much play out of but I'm really excited to get it, feels like a real missing piece in my Nintendo collection! Should hopefully arrive in the next couple of days.

It cost me £200 with both games, seen them go for cheaper in the past but those are often sold as untested which is more of a risk whereas this is confirmed to work. This also had a few things going for it including the stand clip actually not being broken and it coming with components that often seem to be missing including the battery pack and eye shade. Quite a bit to pay for something that's just a collectors piece I suppose but I would imagine I'd recoup most of the costs if I ever came to sell it.

Apparently so, it's even compatible with Google Cardboard and plays the games in greyscale rather than red. Probably the best way to give the console a go in most cases.
Anyhow, it arrived today!
It's in really nice condition which I'm really pleased with, comes with everything it should do, nothing is broken and it's really clean. The seller had mentioned something about one eye seeming dimmer than the others but it's nothing I've noticed at all.
The controller is actually really nice, fits really well into the hand and is really comfortable to hold. Probably got more in common with a Gamecube controller than anything else.
Mario Tennis and Wario Land are really good fun to play and the 3D effect is surprisingly good considering how old the system is. The display does display the graphics really sharply but I can definitely see why people got headaches from them just being red and black.
The whole aesthetic of the graphics and the sound definitely feels closer to a Game Boy or NES, it's no wonder it flopped because it must have felt so dated at the time compared to the SNES and Mega Drive, let alone Saturn and Playstation.
Still, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much fun the games are, can definitely see me playing a fair bit of Wario Land, and it looks great with the rest of the family

I always wanted a virtual boy. When we used to go to the states a lot when i was younger, and the virtual boy was out, I tried so hard to get them to buy me one. Nearly worked at an EB (Or whatever it was) but dad saw through my ruse when he realised there were NO GAEMZ to buy for it in the uk. I also nearly got them to get me a nomad, which COULD play UK games but the guy in the shop wouldnt guarantee it so they wouldnt take the risk.
I did get a gameboy colour over there though, with links awakening and tetris so it was all good. Oh and I had donkey kong land too

Still, every cloud - Game Boy Colour was such a brilliant console. Absolutely loved the Donkey Kong Land series

It's mad really, so obviously destined for failure. Hard to believe it launched 6 months after the PlayStation came out in Japan, it must have seemed completely archaic!

Grabbed a loose GBA cart of Golden son the lost age for £6 yesterday. I also got 2 boxed PS1 fishing games for 50p each but mostly got them as the cases look good and I have a few games I want to give nicer cases to.

If you have a cash converters there worth a look I got a bunch of talkmans for psp and FIFA for 360 for 10p with great cases from them.

Been compiling a list of all my games before I have a massive clearout and sell most of them, just finished doing the PS2 list and counted 90 odd games, I say finished but I'm sure there's a few more lurking somewhere that I've missed.
For anyone wondering, here's the list:
They'll be going up in the Trading Post soon, I'll need to figure out prices for some of them but the most common ones I'll probably bundle together, something like 3 for a fiver plus postage.
