Sly 2 doesn't seem to have an issue with double jump or camera angles, however as enjoyable as it is being predominantly for kids it's far to easy.
Played a couple of retro titles last night.
Road Blasters - Used to think it was great when I was younger. Sadly it's not aged very well.
Kung Fu Master - Still awesome, still rock hard.

Kung Fu Master was indeed a thing of rare beauty. Even though I was piss poor at it I always felt the fault was mine when I died rather than the game being unfair which is why I kept playing. It's one of my fondest gaming memories and I've bought many games down the years trying to regain the feeling of playing it.

I still remember the tune even now.
Doo, doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo...

Wait, Kung Fu on the NES was a port? Mind blown.

Road Blasters was one of those games that kind of lived and died by it's steering wheel.

Got the NES version of this with a NES Advantage. Amazing game.
The Atari 2600 version is a work of art, though. Getting the VCS to capture that much of the gameplay must have been a real nightmare.

Kung Fu master reminds me of the rock hard Vigilante. Nigh on impossible game.

Vigilante is a quality game, but yes it's rock hard. A lot of trial and error.
For a time there used to be a Vigilante cab in our local cafe in the hometown where I grew up.

I must confess I've been playing Crash Bandicoot all over again, which I bought on the PS3 for a few quid. Truth be told the D-pad control is tedious and I wish it used the analogue stick. But it's a good little game after all these years!

According to Wiki it's actually a spiritual sequel of sorts. I didn't realise that.
I mean, now that you mention it and I see them side by side, yeah, it makes perfect sense. Especially given that they both came from Data East.
But then, when I think of Vigilante, this is what pops into my head.

Is that the same game as the "classic coin-op"? Because if so, then they definitely outsourced that cover production. To someone who'd clearly never played the game.
