Outrun, how could I forget that!

Ah yes, so Sandy does. Cheers!

And I just grabbed Power Stone Collection for £8 incl p&p. 8-)

Lastly, which is better Wipeout Pure or Pulse?

I like them both but haven't played either in ages so can't say which I prefer.

I miss being able to play Wipeout games

How did you get on with that controller you were talking about before that could help you play a wider selection of games again?

Still haven't sorted it out yet, need to get in touch with my OT as the mouth operated mouse needs a different mounting arm (the current one digs into my chest when in a useable position which means I can manage about 10 minutes use before having to stop - pressure sores are not worth it).

No, pressure sores are not good. Still, you seem to be on the right track. :)

Well if you go by Metacritic Pure is better with 88% Vs 82% for Pulse. I would say that this is mainly down to Pure coming out first and being the first time people had seen this kind of thing on a handheld.

You can't really go wrong with either of them.

I also forgot to mention that the Ridge Racer on PSP is one of the better titles in the series as well if you like Arcade racers. Outrun 2006: C2C is still the best arcade racer on the system if you've only got space for one.

I went for Pure in the end, but I'll no doubt get pulse as well at some point.

I have both Ridge Racers and yep they're great.

Outrun is on the to buy list.

Cheers, though. :D

Gran Turismo for PSP is pretty good, and there is also the following:

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Need for Speed Most Wanted 5-1-0
Need for Speed Underground Rivals
Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City
Sega Rally Revo
Street Supremacy

And if you're into importing look into Wangan Midnight Portable, Initial D Street Stage and Shinseiki GPX Cyber Formula VS.

Fast & Furious? Movie tie-ins are usually naff, but it must have something going for it if a race fan like yourself recommends it. I'll have a look at some YouTube vids.

It's essentially a re-skin of games like Tokyo Xtreme Racer (Street Supremacy too) - you race around japanese highways at night and upgrade your car with winnings. Actually scratch that, I just watched some footage and remembered it has this really annoying screen shake which you can't switch off. If you want something TXR-like then Street Supremacy is better.

Also there's this handy video:

Cheers for the vid. :D

I've got RR2 and Sega Rally, but going on that vid I'm gonna pick up CMR 2005, F1 2009 & NFS Underground Rivals.

I got a few N64 games just loose carts today, spent £6.50 and got 1080 snowboarding, Forsaken and Wrestlemania 2000

I have to admit the PSP is a great little machine I have so many games for it mostly because a lot of them just seemed to cost practically sod all. As for racing games I dont think I have actually played a single racing game on it that sucked out right, I think the worst I ever tried was more muuuuaaa than arghhhh lol

I think PSP is at it's peak in terms of value for money. I can only see the prices of games creeping up again in the future.

I would argue I think its peak has passed... I could be wrong, but I was grabbing loads of PSP games about a year or so ago when Game just wanted them out of the door and since then I have seen a lot of titles really creep up a heck of a lot. Still that said I still think now is a good time to go for them as the general public doesnt seem to value them as retro yet so you still see them cheap on markets and such from time to time.

The PSP was brilliant, I much prefered it to the DS at the time.

Incidentally I'll soon be selling a load of PSP games on ebay, mostly fairly average priced games but I have a couple of more valuable ones, if anyone's interested PM me for a full list and prices.

Been playing Jet Force Gemini, I thought I was close to beating it but the game just hit me with the strawberry floating Rareware. You know what I mean, the "you gotta collect everything to get the real final boss" stunt that Banjo-Kazooie also pulled.

Lol yeah I never bothered with that gooseberry fool. I recently rebought it in very good boxed condition, nice that it has a widescreen mode (as does banjo tooie), good of rare that.

I'm going to take a break from the game. I get that back in the day they needed to make peoples £60/70 last but when you play these games now you feel the padding.

Is this the thing with the tribals?

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I think so.

Isn't it possible to kill them and make the game unfinishable? There's something bullshit about it, I remember that.
