But that seems awfully snobbish and scroogery on their behalf.

I can see the sense in it to honest. Its very hard to know what games someone who is fairly serious about their gaming like Proto might own so its hard to get them something without giving away what they are getting.

I was going to sell/swap my X-Box 360. Assassin's Creed 2 turned out good, people seemed to really be enjoying it, I love Splinter Cell, and stealth games, and, so, that's my main pesent. I hope it's good now. Other games on my list but not confirmed are Orange Box, Resident Evil 5, Fable 2, Dead Space, Far Cry 2 (i don't know why..FPS + ragdolls, sounds good otherwise)

I seen Batman for £22 in the shops. Didn't buy it. Probably should have.

Lotus is surpassing my apathy for games, I feel a bit ashamed. Getting games for Christmas is great even if the games aren't. I usually get more than one and it's a feast. All those Bbesg76Tgamensmn-eva>>!!> releases mount up over the years. What will happen is I'll play Portal and it'll be the best game out of the lot. Should have got Braid.

I bet that doesn't stop them buying DVDs/Blue-Rays for big movie buffs, though.

In the run up to Christmas, there's a shit-tonne of games released and I don't know about the rest of you, but I barely bought a one in favour of getting other people presents.
