When he encounters that first group and kills the guy with one slash I thought it was a sign of brutal, harsh combat where the weapons are really deadly and you need to know how to use them.
Then the other enemies took several hits to kill and it became apparent that wasn't the case and it's just the usual generic hack 'n' slash stuff (That's not to say it's not got any strategy to it of course).
So yeah I wish they'd doubled down on the deadliness of the swords and made combat a more thoughtful, precise piece of gameplay. The one on one fight at the end looked better though.
Combined with the fact that it's going to be yet another open-world action game and I find it hard to get excited about it, even if it does look gorgeous.
Agreed on the combat. The first slash and kill made me think of bushido blade from way back when. If it took that approach i’d be incredibly hyped about it.
That being said. It looks glorious. The winds effect on the environment just made it look incredibly lush.
Can’t wait to see more. Especially if you get to be a robin seven samurai style.
