I'd be happy to rent it again if we can get a team going as it's a decent game in multiplayer.

I'd be happy to be part of the team. Have only put a few hours in so far so won't be way ahead of everybody.

OK guys, the game has arrived in the post today, are you both up for a 9pm start?

I only today realised that we hadn't played it, so if Dinoric is up for it tonight, then great.

Unfortunately nobody on the PS4 is trying it apart from me.

4 v 4 PVP Ghost War is out now, it's still great, I think it only has 2 maps though which are both very similar, down from the 4 from the Beta. :|

I never get tired of the background music in this game, it's so chill.

In the vast open world of Ghost Recon Wildlands, danger lurks around every bend, and this weekend, you can confront that danger for free. From October 12 at 12:00am PDT through October 16 at 12:00am PDT*, you can download the full game for free and explore all that Ghost Recon Wildlands has to offer on PC, Xbox One**, and PS4** (PS4 players can pre-load on 10/10, PC players can pre-load on Uplay on 10/11). That means a gorgeous open world full of diverse ecosystems and thrilling missions for you to take on in single-player, or with a squad of up to four co-op players. That means a wide array of weapons, abilities, and vehicles that let you tackle each situation using whatever strategy you choose. And as of this week, that means the new Ghost War 4v4 team deathmatch mode.

Released for free to all Ghost Recon Wildlands players, Ghost War is a brand new mode that brings a whole new challenge to the table. Players choose from among 12 distinct classes to create teams loaded for bear with powerful weapons, perks, and abilities. Using squad tactics and stealthy scouting techniques, they fight it out against a team of enemy players in intense multiplayer. Ghost War launches on October 10, and the development team will expand it in the months to come with new maps, new classes, and new modes.

If you want to stay in the fight after the free weekend ends, you can buy Ghost Recon Wildlands for 50% off from October 12-16 (sale continues for Uplay PC, PS4, and Xbox Live Gold members until October 23). Any progress you make during the free weekend will be carried over when you buy the full game, so you won’t lose a step in your fight to take down Santa Blanca. Whether you’re taking on missions solo, teaming up with friends to eliminate threats together, or facing off against other players in tactical deathmatches, playing Ghost Recon Wildlands is an excellent way to spend this weekend, and many more to come.

Ubisoft are doing a really good job of supporting their games. The 4K stuff had started to interest me but if this is good I will definitely pick it up.

I really enjoyed playing this and it's a great fun multiplayer.
Thinking about it it may actually be one of my games of the year even if it had problems like the driving being comedy gold with being able to offroad down cliffs in a hypercar.

Interesting to see this popping up in a lot of people's "Worst of 2017" lists.

By interesting, I mean utterly unsurprising.

The past few posts here in GR seem to be reasonably positive, Taf! Have you tried out the recent updates and found them to be disappointing?

I completed it with Stu, Chalky and Ric and it was loads of fun I really think anyone putting this in the worst of the year category hasn't played it in multiplayer. I could almost agree that as a single player it's not great and the banter between the characters is beyond moronic (special forces guys don't shout "Shitballs!" when they get shot or fall over) but as a multiplayer it's solid.
It's nowhere near a worst of the year contender and for me it's one of the most enjoyable games I've played this year.
while the chopper pilot
How can using a helicopter to drop people at different points and attacking a base from 3 places at once while I use a drone to give overwatch advice and tag targets be terrible?

This is the only game I'm playing at the moment.

Co-op only. I think to play it in single player would be incredibly boring.

It's such a laugh when playing with friends.

We practice jumping from helicopters and diving into planes flying underneath. We've yet to pull it off.
