It looks like it has a really shitty script, is badly acted and the tonal shift when you see the guy's wife get destroyed by that lorry was jarring in the extreme.

Yeah, the crash was a bit jarring, but I suspect intentional. It's only a trailer, so presumably it'll be handled a bit differently in the final film.

As for shitty script and bad acting, you can level those criticisms at plenty of big action films, and people still seem to like them. It's not like the original Lethal Weapon wasn't super cheesy.

The original Lethal Weapon wasn't super cheesy. Riggs was suicidal, it was actually quite grim in places. The sequels on the other hand, are covered in cheese.

Not that fussed about them remaking Lethal Weapon, it's not a franchise I ever really paid attention to.

Ghostbusters on the other hand was a massive part of my childhood. I had all the toys, bedding, Halloween costumes, videos, posters, lunch boxes, school bags, pencil cases etc.

That and Jurassic Park are the two big films from childhood.

They've all kind of merged together in my head, I guess. I was never a huge fan of the series, or a lot of films from that era that I know a lot of people hold up as classics. It's probably because I was too young to see them at the time, then never watched them until much later because I was supposed to, and just came away a bit underwhelmed.

Ok, so the newest trailer is actually not too bad. Definitely better than the other 2.

That tweet alone is enough to put me off ever willingly seeing it, I'm not even a massive fan of the Original.

Still looks gooseberry fool.

The "because you have the longest arms" raised a smirk and the special effects look decent. That's as positive as I can get.

That trailer was a bit better but still, the humour just isn't there. I was fully expecting Mccarthy to be the irritating one, but Leslie Jones appears to be taking that honour. I've seen her in a few things actually and find her father unamusing.

This looks strawberry floating gooseberry fool. It's like a really bad feature length SNL parody/sketch.

Finally, someone has vocalised why I don't like the look of it. I couldn't quite put it into words before. It has nothing to do with who is in it or how it differs from the original, it just looks like a bad SNL film. Like MacGruber.
