I use GMail but I'm a grumpy strawberry floater who doesn't want to talk to anyone new and I'm being bombarded with invites from women to go on a date and I just want them to strawberry float the strawberry float off but I can't seem to uninstall it from GMail so I've resorted to blocking everyone.

Has anyone else suffered like me with this pile of gooseberry fool program trying to get you to get a life?

I only use the Gmail app when it's linked to my Hotmail account so I assume it doesn't use the hangout extension so I can't understand the struggle you are going through by having gorgeous women (men pretending to be women) trying to hook up with you.

I don't have a photo of me on gmail as far as I know.
Also it's only been in the last 3 months or so and I certainly haven't signed up for anything like hangouts that I can remember with the only slight caveat being that I have a memory like a goldfish at the moment and struggle to remember what I did last week let alone 3 months ago.

Hangouts is part of Gmail, it's linked to your google account, I think. Does this help

Turn off hangout:

Open Hangouts in Gmail.
At the top of your Hangouts list, click the Down arrow .
Scroll to the bottom, and click Sign out of Hangouts.

Tip: If you don't want to sign out of Hangouts but would like to stop notifications temporarily, snooze notifications by clicking the Down arrow

You can also hide the panel: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/remove ... t-sidebar/

There is also an option somewhere in Gmelius extension for Chrome to hide the chat window and various other stuff https://gmelius.com/

My favourite thing about Inbox is Google still haven't bothered to update it for the iPhone X screen despite doing so to every one of their other iOS apps.

It's one of those apps which doesn't seem to change in any noticeable way for a very long time. I kind of like that, but the interface can be pretty slow as it depends a lot on Ajax and fancy transitions. Not a fan of that part but the concepts are good. I think it's because they set out to reinvent gmail and had that in development for a long time and then sort of just released it as a separate UI because otherwise everyone would wax lyrical about "forced" updates.

Tbh I was using labels and bundles in Gmail for years so it wasn't that much of a jump. It is much, much better for GTD and business use but it's missing a few basic things like formatting and signatures for some reason (I have to use that gmelius plugin which isn't available for Firefox, I've gone as far as creating an applet with Chromium and a custom icon to launch it as my email client, so I'm running two browsers :lol:
