It was on the PC, was released probably before 2000. You controlled a battle suit of some description, I think it was orange or yellow. Isometric and pretty zoomed out, you went around killing alien things in ruined cities and stuff. At the start you could choose your weapon loadout.

I got it in a competition with the Daily Mail I think (in one of those little prize envelopes they used to do). I must have been around 10 at the time, so I can barely remember it. I just really want to know what the hell it was.

Thanks for your co-operation.

I remember a game called Bedlam that was nothing like that. It was a Xenon II: Megablast clone for the Amstrad CPC.

It's not the first time a game name has been reused. The 8-bit era espectially has had a tendency to let it's copyrights lapse.

According to WOS, there were at least two games on the Speccy called Bedlam

strawberry float knows who, if anyone, still owns the rights to these titles today, though. (The one you're referring to is by Go!, who IIRC, were affiliated with US Gold, though another site gives the developer as Beam software who were originally part of Melbourne House.)
