This needs to happen. Get onto C&VG, 1up, that games retail news site, Gamesradar and all the usual ones. Just link the thread, this is really bad. You can't be the only one who's had this problem.

I don't need a defence, if you don't understand what you're buying and you frequent a games forum then really you deserve it

It's like buying a PS3 and expecting it to play PS2 games.....

Both boxes show "GB / Go" after the size. It doesn't clearly say on the box it was flash memory. Who here can honestly say they knew it was flash memory, I didn't and would have fallen into the same trap.

The back of the box states that 256mb is required for system updates, and that additional storage may be required for some features, nowhere does it state you need a HDD to play certain parts.

I did as I said so earlier.

Nobody would expect a 4gb HDD in 2010, it wouldn't make any sense at all.

I visit here everyday, and I would have thought that 4gb of internal memory would work just the same as having a HDD attached. It's strawberry floating disgusting to sell the system with no real warning that it gimps your games. Worst yet is you can't even buy a HDD to sort the problem out. I wonder how many others have fallen for it?

And Rik one more shitty trolling comment trying to deflect this gooseberry fool and I will ban you.

This is unbelievable.
How can they get away with selling a machine that can't play (well the online part which is a massive part for some) one of it's most anticipated games without an upgrade that you can't even buy yet?

Plus there is NO reason for it not to work with on board flash memory, USB sticks. They've disabled it for those devices so you have to buy an official HDD (which isn't actually on sale).

I defend MS when they take stick about addons/peripherals when it's unjustified, but this is disgusting.

At least you're protected under UK law and can take it back for a refund. Still the media need to know about this though.

The box for the strawberry floating thing made no distinction between the 4GB in my Xbox, and the 250GB in the other models. In the chart they use to specify the differences between the SKUs.

Go ahead.

How is it trolling to point out the obvious.

If you're going to spend a couple of hundred quid on something then at least do your homework on what you're buying

Sorry the truth hurts but ban away.

Yeah, i'm sure my Nan can tell me why it wouldn't make sense to have a 4GB HDD in the current year. My parents (and ALOT of other parents) won't even know what Flash Memory is compared to a HDD, they've probably bought their kids consoles not knowing anything about them.

This has the potential to be a PR nightmare just when the brand was looking like it managed to shake off the rrod fiasco.

We're talking about someone who posts on a games forum though, not some senile old lady.

You can say stuff like the above, but trying to bring up other formats in this is trolling.
