Heya, I'm experimenting videoediting with my vlogs so far, and I thought if there was any video editing softwares I should use? I'm not sure whichever is best so any help would be nice :-)

Windows: Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects (though this is more than a video editor. It's kind of like photoshop for videos)

Mac: Same as above, but apple do Final Cut Pro, which is ace.

The last time I had to make a video I used Camtasia's video editor.

It's like literally just 1 step up from Windows Movie Maker, it's a tad more powerful but still really easy to get a handle on.

Easy to crack, too. :shifty:

jesus you don't need industry standard tools for vlogging

To be honest, that's all I know of apart from WMM, which he was wanting alternatives of. Pfftt, they'd still do the job.

Thanks for suggestions guys, and even That's not a growth's for his suggestions :-) To be fair, I hope to do advanced video editing in future but for now I'll work on basics. First thing first I need to learn how to make my vlogs appear in widescreen...stupid borders.

i just got visualstudio X2 (now from corel). it's pretty friendly, and is basically a better version of windows movie maker. i think it's about £50 to buy brand new, and you can get it through their website via quidco.

I've always used Sony Vegas Pro 8, which is available from all the usual places. It's great.
