I wouldn't say that, its got the best bits of facebook without the bloody applications rubbish, but has the feed list type dealo of twitter, if they include functionality to allow me to update my public \ or circle specific what ever, feed on + from twitter like I update facebook from twitter I'm laughing.

I don't mind using multiple sites I've always done that I just don't like having to update them all individually with status......

Anyone who wants in, post your email address and someone with Google+ can send you an invite. Invites are not limited, but sometimes sign-ups are restricted due to capacity issues. If you can't get in, wait a little while and try again.

I spent a couple of hours on Google Hangout with some mates tonight and loved it, but I don't see how the "circles" idea differs at all from the friends lists that Facebook lets you set up. And in the end, people are what make or break a social network. If my friends don't leave Facebook, neither will I.

I'll be joining up when it goes public I think. Might not replace facebook for 'real life' photos and organising stuff, but for purely online socialising it should be great.

Initial thoughts

Google Plus is like Facebook but without the spam... quite neat and tidy, but I can't see it really causing any damage to Facebook's market share in the long run.
