That message seems to come and go whenever the fancy strikes them. Try again later and you should get through.

Apparently there's another way in on this, if you've got an iphone/ipad/ipod touch, got to http://plus.google.com from Safari on there, sign in with a google account and it signs you up. Worked for me.. after that you can login with same account on PC and you're in. Not sure if works with other mobile browsers or if it's just Safari..

Just thinking on this circle thing - how does it work if people reply to your posts?

Say I share something like a holiday photo in my family circle and also my friends circle, can people in the Family circle see replies from people in the friends circle and vice versa? Be cool if it made it so I could see all the replies but for other people only people in a particular circle could see the replies from the same one.

So like, if my mates starting putting loads of dodgy banter on holiday snaps, my family people wouldn't see it but would see replies from other family members etc..

Guess to do that, would have to post the photo twice, once for each circle though..

You'd have to post it twice. You can definitely see replies from people you aren't following.
