But how have I ended up with:

People who've added you (13)

Have Matt in circles (9)

That's four people who've added me but not put me in a circle, so there must be some way of doing it. Most of them seem to be off here, although if I'm honest, as it goes by irl names, I've no idea who's who, but someone who's been in this thread should be able to help.

Interesting

I've just been and looked at this and seen that 20 people have added me, yet only 18 have me in circles.

Looking at the names and photos it seems that Rog and HailToTheKingBaby! have managed to add me without placing me in a circle. I think its probably a glitch though.

Sometimes it seems to take a while to update. Probably just bugs and glitches due to early days and all that.

The chat in particular seems pretty buggy just now.

Can't you set it so that people can't see who is in your circles? Maybe some of them have done that.

If you want an invite just pass me your google account e-mail, and I can send one. Or I'm sure anyone else here will too.

Finally signed up today. Not blown away so far but that's really down to no one I know using it yet. Some nice ideas though. I think to make it a success, instead of trying to rival Facebook, google should make it different with different USPs and more of an emphasis on sharing things like photos and documents and focus on the integration with other google services. Twitter and Facebook live along side each other and compliment each other perfectly, I don't see why this can't do the same.

One thing I would like to see is public circles, like the groups on Facebook, so, for example, all my family members could be in the same circle rather than having their own.

Anyway, mine is; gplus.to/minty14

Apparently I've got 150 invites. If anyone is still wanting in, try this link https://plus.google.com/_/notifications ... gzCFjxQ8Y8

Google + has now gone public.

I have a Google Gmail which I am tempted to link. However I am concerned about how much info this gives away. Eg it makes all my real name etc public, but what else? Is the email address kept private? Anybody using it that has some feedback?

Can you control one circle of friends so they can't see the other circle of friends?

This is basically Google Facebook?

not really true I know alot of people who are moving some from before but alot have been pushed by the new facebook changes. before if people didn't like a facebook change they had to live with it. now they can just jump ship. Facebook needs to be alot more careful with gooseberry fool updates and the amounts of bugs and issues as they have a viable competitor.

we are moving into an interesting time as this has never really been an issue before... can't wait to see how it pans out :)

An engineer for internet and tech giant Google has mistakenly made public a rant concerning Google’s own social network that was intended only for employees of the firm.

“The Google+ platform is a pathetic afterthought,” Steve Yegge wrote to colleagues in a post that has since been removed, but was preserved by SiliconFilter.

“Google+ is a knee-jerk reaction, a study in short-term thinking, predicated on the incorrect notion that Facebook is successful because they built a great product. But that’s not why they are successful. Facebook is successful because they built an entire constellation of products by allowing other people to do the work.

“So Facebook is different for everyone. Some people spend all their time on Mafia Wars. Some spend all their time on Farmville. There are hundreds or maybe thousands of different high-quality time sinks available, so there’s something there for everyone.”

Despite a strong start, Google+ has struggled to maintain momentum since the launch hype died down and now faces an uphill battle to gain traction against rivals such as Facebook and Twitter.

Whoops.

I've got one person on this still. Nobody I know uses it or has any intentions of doing so. Guss I'm stuck with Facebook then.

Google +. Rip in peace.

Same as me pretty much, I've got Noes and MCN added. I doubt any of my friends know about Google+, even the computer types.
