Floyd Mayweather: Boxer responds to Khabib Nurmagomedov challenge with 'get the chequebook out!'

Boxer Floyd Mayweather could be open to a bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov after responding to the UFC fighter's challenge by saying: "Get the chequebook out!"

On Sunday the 30-year-old Russian called out American Mayweather, who is also undefeated, adding: "In the jungle there is only one king."

Mayweather would strawberry float Khabib up in a boxing match, wouldn't even be remotely close.

Ridiculous. I hope it happens. I'll be putting every single spare penny I have on a Mayweather win. Will be shite odds but free money.

100%. Never made a single bet in my life, but there is no chance that Mayweather loses that, Inshallah.

That guy on the keyboard has mad fat fingers. Just made me all the more impressed at how calm and controlled Khabib was in all of the build up and the entire fight, beyond human strength to ball it all up and resist provocation. Until it all exploded obviously but by then he'd schooled McGregor.

I caught the last half of it. Usyk is impressive, interesting that he's looking to move up to heavyweight next year.

I was. Interesting fight. Although it looks like bellew was ahead on most people’s scorecards I don’t think he would have managed to keep it up to the last round. Nothing to be ashamed of, he did well.

Bellew started really well, Usyk was finding it hard to find his rhythm. But as the fight went on, Usyk just took over.

An exceptional fighter to watch.

I don’t really follow MMA that well anymore but I’m surprised to see nobody here has had anything to say about Ortiz Liddell 3.

Bit of a joke wasn't it?

People watching the Fury fight this weekend? Predictions?

I actually think Fury should be equal money at worst.

When you look at his record he generally only has a couple of fights a year anyway so I don't think being away for an extended period of time will hinder him greatly. He'll probably be gassed by R8 but ring conditioning is a hard thing to nail.

Wilder will doubtlessly be in better condition, but Fury is a better, cleverer boxer.

Looking forward to it.

Anyone been watching Fighting in the Age of Loneliness?

As someone who doesn't really follow UFC, it's been a really interesting introduction to the history of the sport, and the stages in its evolution, but it's clearly been made by big fans, and for fans.
