Okay... this is an official GR investigation. We need smart people to quickly resolve this case.

I'll start with the facts:

> On Wednesday, 25th October, Matt (The Watching Artist) was at work in a restaurant and the senior chef made a large pancake.

> Matt took a photo of the pancake and posted it on X/Twitter.

> This post has now had 81.7k views and this number is still going up.

Now, although plenty of folk are eager to read Matt's magnificent musings on X, it's fair to say that 80k views is an outlier. Looking deeper, there are some odd responses - often based around "you're not going to be president" - and there are a few reposts; one or two of which have large numbers of followers.

So, GR... I turn to you to work out this mystery. Why are people so interested in the pancake? And what does it have to do with a president?

Stephen Colbert said "You’re not going to be president" to Donald Trump in 2015. I guess the people who are tweeting that reply are saying that the pancake looks like Trump, and the views are because of that phrase being used.

This could be the break that the case needs! Detective rinks, you have identified a possible solution! Is it really all down to the pancake supposedly looking like Trump? :o .

Lots of the comments are coming from Argentines, where there is currently a presidential election campaign running. One candidate, Sergio Massa, is known for shifting positions or flip-flopping, the argentine slang for which is pancake

The word voters most identify with Massa is “pancake,” slang for a flip-flopper, according to a recent poll by Giacobbe & Asociados.

So there you go.

Also, stop trying to make X happen. :x

Detective Knoyleo... has instigated boss mode?!?

Fabulous investigative work! I think this could be the solution. Knoyleo Knows!

It's amazing how Matt's post snowballed into such a global movement. And, hey, that view number could increase further.

I think that GR has cracked the case. Well done, Detectives!

Case clo... hang on!
