Still haven't sorted out this qualifying bug in PCars 2 have they? Several times now I've had a 3 sec or more lead on pole yet skip to the end of the session and the AI are still smashing world records putting me to the back of the grid.

Strange, I saw patch notes that said it was semi patched and I didnt have any bother with it on PC.

I'm playing it on PS4 and it's still a problem. Fine if I complete the qualifying session, but skip it at all and bang - back of the grid.

Ah, maybe the patch certification thing is your downfall there. PC gets patches like every other day or something.

At least you have a potential fix to look forward to!

Have the first PCars on PC and yes patches came in all the time. Am very tempted to trade PCars 2 and pick up the PC version.

I played some more forza 5 this week, just trying to get it done (as in each series completed, sod the bonus races which are just more of the same) and i've had an epiphany about what changed to make the game worse. In forza 1-4 the events determined the cars; european cars, FR, turbocharged, nothing past 1979 etc. From 5 onwards every car has a fixed label of hot hatch, modern exotic etc which determines what you could use it for - a subtle reversal which reduces the overall variety of cars in a given event and disincentivises player creativity in terms of tweaking one car to fit multiple rulesets.

Onrush, new game by codemasters with the Evolution guys onboard. Announced at Sony's thing today but nobody seems to care about it enough to make a thread:

Looks nice, I'm guessing the rush is a nod to rushy.

The game is one year away from release, and Evolution games make amazing progress in the final few months.

This will be amazing - although the name is horrendous.

It does seem a tad harsh to try and make any assumptions about how good this is or isn't from a trailer for a game so far away from release?
If this gets the same fun racing vibe going that Motorstorm did and we can get people on here interested in playing that's good enough for me.

Anyone into the new Need for Speed? Not seen a lot from it, but the car list at least seems very interesting. From what I can tell it seems like more of Horizon sort of deal.

I like the look of Payback, Falsey. The preview vids that I’ve watched have been interesting and the car customisation options are neat. I’m a little unsure about the storyline aspects (to me, it all seems a bit too keen to be modern and cool) but I would like to try the game out.

At £60 (standard) or £80 (deluxe) in the PS Store, though, I definitely won’t be getting it at launch and I will wait until there is a price cut.

Its very F&F in its story and setup, which is interesting as the crew is shifting away from that kind of thing. Both will probably have lootboxes though.

I havent played a NFS since the first Most Wanted so thought it might be a nice change of pace, but Im not paying £60!
