Post[GR REVISITS] XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Dusted off my ps3 copy of this last night and started a new game. I struggled the first time with resource management and couldn't respond efficiently enough to a one of the difficult story missions which ended up with a game over.

Now I've knocked the difficulty down a notch I'm finding it a more enjoyable experience so far.

Few questions:

- France are in total panic mode. Can I save the surrender monkeys?
- how do i get money?

Any other tips would be appreciated!

One of my favourite PS3 games (even if it runs like gooseberry fool on PS3). I too, was confused and overwhelmed by the base management stuff, but it ended up being my favourite aspect of the game, so much so that I would've had no problem playing an entire game of the management part only.

Bummed out the sequel is PC only.

Thought this was a slightly odd choice for Firaxis, if only because XCOM controls pretty well with a pad all in all.

Did it simply not sell especially well on consoles, because to go from all platforms (including iOS and Android!) to just PC is a pretty fundamental call. Should be interesting though, from the sounds of it, it seems a little more in tune with the original X-COM and more mod friendly.

Oh also, Captain Cuttooth pls Dual.
