strawberry floating hell

Got top 10 on all 3 days, with a second place standing for most of the last day until i got shuffled down to 9th. I could have stayed on and kept trying and trying like a couple of guys i got chatting to were, but at the end of the day i paid an obscene amount of money to be there for the weekend, not to play gran turismo. One of the guys stayed on for two hours after i left to carry on and still didnt beat my time, so i didnt feel too bad about not staying.

Oh and all my smug talk of practicing before hand came to nothing because i'd been using the wrong bloody car :fp:

Always next year.

I was there on Saturday, and managed to put down 45.988 in the Red Bull X2011, and dabbled at the pods at Infiniti and Tag Heuer, but didn't really do much better. I also tried the oculus rift thing at the red bull stand and felt a bit sick.

Nearly every stand had some sort of GT6 thing going on, so i was only going on things that competitions going. Tried the mini one at the moving motorshow and did alright considering the wheel was off centre by about 20 degrees. Tried to tell them, the dozy bint running it didnt even understand what i was on about.

And jessssus, I lost track of how many times I was told that the accelerator is on the right and the brake is on the left. Yeah mate, i'm on the leaderboard up there, i know :fp:

My quickest time of the weekend was 42:34. They set the pods up with the screens facing out so half the time you just had glare and couldnt see gooseberry fool anyway.

The problem I had was that I was too tall for the pods, so even with the seat pushed back all the way I was a bit cramped.

I found them a bit odd in that to get my feet at a nice angle for the pedals i needed to have my arms completely outstretched.

There is now a track editor available for this, which is down through an app (:dread:) and then synced with Gt6:

Edit: Just had a quick go on the editor on my iPad, seems really simple to use. Bodes well for GT7 when it comes out in late 2017.

I read about this last night. Seems pretty broad in scope this time.

Ad7, I'd like to see Phillip Island done, please.

GT6 still looks so good.

Yes I do...but I don't have a tablet device.

I didn't even think of that. Really stupid this being locked behind a device.
