Watched bits of this again this morning and it really does look fantastic

Really makes me hope Turn 10/Microsoft don’t mess up Forza Motorsport 8 whenever that ends up coming out, as GT7 looks like a really big step up in comparison to the previous games in the series.

Cooldawns alt?

Looks great. Interesting to see what Forza Motorsport 8 looks like, seeing as it's a new engine and next gen only.

It was rather expensive (90 quid!) but I'm glad I got in there early pre-ordering the Anniversary Edition as it appears to be sold out everywhere now. Saying that, it's going for a frankly ludicrous £190 on eBay...

I'm beginning to wonder if I should sell that off and purchase the digital copy instead. I mean, how much do I care for a steel case...

I thought Forza was cross gen too

I’d actually forgotten this was cross gen :fp: Might have to see how the PS4 version stacks up and get a copy on that….. It’s a launch spec one so imagine this’ll make it almost unbearably loud!

Play it in an enclosed room and it’ll be around the same temp as a racing cockpit too, full immersion :datass:

Obviously will be getting this and hope to have it on release but with rising costs of living I’ll have to wait to see what situation I’m in.

Looks very nice, but I'm not sure I can muster up the excitement for the franchise any more. My days of getting mega hyped by GT seemed to die off in the PS2 era.

Hopefully any preorder bonuses exclude millions of credits (or at least let you claim them later) as the best bit of starting a GT game is picking your shitbox car with your measly credits and trying to make the best of it. Seems a bit daft to give you billions and a Ferrari straight away.

That is part of the fun of the proper career mode, which is thankfully back in GT7, I have very fond memories of picking a Civic at/near the start of GT4 and modding it to with in inch of its life, to the point where it wasn’t probably even drivable but I loved it. Also remember over the summer holidays training my AI drivers and then basically managing them through the 24 hours of the Nurburgring to get the Formula A car  God I loved GT4, 5 and 6 were really good (not a fan of Sport on the whole) but GT4 was the peak so far, GT7 looks to be getting back there too. I will however have to play GT7 on a pad, can’t really justify a second wheel

Preordering gets you 100k and the deluxe edition gets you 1.5m.

I’d like to think I’d stay pure and not touch it but I’ll probably just use it for some time saving upgrades here and there to get past an even in struggling with to avoid grinding for credits elsewhere.

I caught a glimpse of a car roulette in the presentation which I’m hoping they are leaving as a “you win the series you get a spin of 4 slightly better cars” thing as it has been in the past, rather than a FH-style “good job on that class D race, here’s 3 hypercars” every 5 mins that leaves you with a ton of shite you don’t ever use or care about.

I do believe that's the advertising slogan for WWE 2K22.
