If it's anything like the demo, if you change your car in the garage it forces the game to save even if the servers aren't working.

Regarding Server Connection Issues

12/24/2017

Currently we are experiencing an unstable connection from the Gran Turismo Sport servers to the PlayStation Network servers.

Because of this, an error message is displayed notifying that the game cannot connect to the network.

For the time being, we have found that in some cases it is still possible to bypass the issue and connect to the server by ignoring the correction error messages and going to the top screen, then trying to manually “Reconnect to the Network” a few times.

Please wait while we investigate the cause of this issue together with the PlayStation Network.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our users.

Probably because gran turismo is racist or something.

Been playing a bit of this today, working through the track experience stuff.

Must say after all the hype, I'm not impressed with the graphics at all. Maybe I'm spoiled by all the pc racing I do, but it doesn't look that great to me. The hdr lighting is good though.

Handling is much better than previous entries too.

A.I. and collision effects are still an absolute joke.

I've found the first car in the game that i love, this Honda vision gt one. With the stock tyres and setup it's got sublime handling and beautiful power on overseer to the point where I was drifting (badly) but at will through every corner. So much fun.

Octoroc is BACK! It’d be cool to hear how you get on with the game, dude.

It's pretty good. I'm mostly playing it when friends come round. Just before Christmas I finally acquiesced and got a 12 month PSN+ account, but I'm yet to take GT online.

I'm too busy flying through outer space for that. Much too busy.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Nice one, Octo - it looks good but personally I held off from it in the end.

Finally put some proper time in with this and I'm starting to really enjoy it. I'm doing the missions and I'm in the last tiers, which have some endurance races requiring management of the fuel mapping and pit stops, which i find really interesting (i love having to manage a strategy on the fly). My G29 has a dial for adjusting balances but I've never used it, and now I can't stop floating about with it  In the last race I was adjusting the fuel map every lap plus adjusting my brake balance every sector :datass:

Oh and hdr looks strawberry floating incredible in low light situations, at one point I was behind a car braking and the lights were so bright that I could still see them for a second or so when I blinked.

I decided to venture online yesterday for the but first time. I was expecting to have to pass some tests to be allowed to race but you just have to watch two YouTube videos with some guy saying, "You don't want to look bad" over and over. That's it

I was too late to qualify and I'd never driven the car or track so I had to learn as I went but I stated last and finished second which was pretty good plus i managed to avoid contact with anyone despite several splits swiping at me  Set fastest lap though :datass:

Got all golds in the mission challenges this evening. The last tier was mostly great as they were longer races that required good fuel and tyre management.

I keep on pondering about getting GT Sport but I'm currently lacking a wheel (well I have a decent wheel, a Logitech DFGT but it's no longer supported) how is it in the pad?

Have they started to add a career mode yet or is it looking like that will be in GT7 if there is one?

It's great on a pad tbf.

It has a basic GT mode added in, they add more events to it with every major update. Also has Driving Challenges, License Tests etc for single player game modes.

To be honest though the online GT Sport mode makes the single player stuff seem dull by comparison, imo anyway.

Yeah I've read it's great online, it's just nice to have some offline stuff for when you can't or don't fancy the online stuff.

Good to hear it's decent on a pad though, will probably look around for a decent price on it.

Just read that your car number in online races is the place you are expected to finish or above to improve your driver rating.

Well I finally have a copy of GT Sport, currently just downloading the updates which total just over 21GB, estimated download time of 5 hours.

Stuck this on last night and found out i was having difficulty because my right trigger was causing issues with acceleration not moving any car above 3rd gear. It works but not with gran turismo
