I wonder how quickly copies of GTS will be traded in though, once the great unwashed realise the focus is online and not the traditional collectathon GT of previous years?
I dunno about that. I've spent hours in the game and I've played perhaps just three or four online games. The rest of the time I've been levelling-up, unlocking cars and earning in-game cash in Arcade mode (and a bit of Campaign mode). The focus really isn't online for me - and yet I'm getting as much out the game as I would have hoped.
I just don't think this is the game everyone is being told it is. Yes, it has online racing and a ranked online mode, too, but it's perfectly possible to treat GT Sport as a typical racing sim and just enjoy racing the AI, unlocking cars and tracks and making progress that way. It's working for me. Online, for me, is just an added optional extra (when it's working). Personally, I think racing against the AI is far better fun than trying your luck against idiots online. None of my online races have been half as good or as rewarding (in terms of earnings) as those against the AI. Just my thoughts.
