I am feeling a bit more positive about this now, but feel it should be a discounted release due to the lack of single player mode.

The graphical quality is up there with Driveclub now, I can't wait to see the weather effects, this is going to be amazing in VR.

Agree with the point about single player, hopefully it'll be back for GT7.

Wait what, no single player??? I only time trial in gran turismo so as long as that's still in I'm OK.

In all honesty, the game is like an online focused GT Prologue - I just hope the cars and tracks are there to justify the full release price.

Might get to play this at Goodwood next week if they're running the GT academy again (which I WILL win a round of this time after being one place off last year).

Played gt sport today.

Yep, that's gran turismo alright. Rubbish AI, bumper car physics, too easy. Looked alright but nothing stunning.

Handling was great, but then it always is.

Was a VW race at brands hatch BTW.

It's the stark difference between east and west developers. The west likes the whizz-bang, the east like to curate. There's just so much more love, care and attention in Japanese games.

So Thursday was a 3 lap race, the rest of the days were a 3 lap time trial. Its much better racing around without the gooseberry fool AI getting in the way. Still, it was nothing special and I really don't get why people think it looks amazing, the in game graphics are a bit better than project cars id say, but nowhere near driveclub. Nice 60FPS and lack of jaggies though. Oh and I'm pretty sure the trees are being done with sprites now as I wad watching some kiddy spinning around and they always seemed to face the camera as he spun :dread: Hope I was seeing things on that front.

Rubbish off screen shot:

Predictably delayed.

Polyphony really do take the piss. Sony get rid of Evolution and Liverpool studios yet let Polyphony take years to get games out.

Yep, most likely they need a year to make a new graphics model for the caron fibre weave on a Zonda or to have 100% perfect floormat simulation physics.

Those floormats are going to look amazing in VR  .

I'd be surprised if it was out in 2017, Polyphony can't help themselves.

Meanwhile Evolution will be releasing Driveclub VR with new tracks in October, 6 months after they were shut down.

Good move Sony.

Bit fed up of polyphony and wouldn't care if they didn't release another gt again.

I couldn't agree more. Evolution was a much smaller team, and in my opinion made the much better games.

I absolutely loved all the Motorstorms and DriveClub - really amazing games.

GT on the other hand is like an old relic stuck in the past, just like its developer.

It's such a tragedy that the great British studios - Sony Liverpool and Evolution - were shut down...and Polyphony is allowed to keep on making these mediocre games which are only an indulgence for the studio head.

It really makes me mad...

Give yourself a pat on the back Yoshida, you doing really good at your job. You da MVP yo.
Shutting down talented studios & letting these mismanaged clowns run riot with their delays again ( just like GT5)
I've never known anything quite like it.

i am playing Assetto Corsa and i am loving it so far not suprised that GTS has been delayed but they have to do something impressive with this game as Turn10 and other devlopers are bringing out games with constant updates dlc PD has not released a game in years. I guess they have gone to record more dyson & henry hoover's for the car sounds

Are these numbers the reason why Sony puts up with Polyphony? http://www.polyphony.co.jp/products/ Scroll down for a table of units sold.
