But how could you ever justify the £1000 outlay for that chair and the Thrustmaster T-GT. :dread:

Thinking about it some more in relation to steering with the ds4, i'd like a small set of wireless pedals which could link to the ds4 or something, so you could get more of the wheel+pedals experience without the massive cost and physical space requirements; a bit like the rock band portable drum kit which is 4 circular pads and a pedal all linked together and can be put anywhere.

:slol:

I expect some mercedes/f1 content like some scapes inside their f1 hq, some cars or lewis' race gear in the game.

Hamilton is set to appear in Gran Turismo Sport as an in-game mentor. He’ll share his knowledge from over a decade of top-level motorsport with players, through a series of images, videos and interviews.

Whether your driving style matches his famously aggressive wheelcraft or not, all players are sure to get something out of it. After all, a spot of one-to-one tuition with the man who has achieved more F1 pole positions than any other driver in history can’t hurt!

Should be great. "When you win, dedicate the race to a missing Malaysian plane". "If you get pole, dedicate it to some ex driver for fun". "Dress like a twat and share it on Instagram lol".

When I said "I'll get it when it's cheap" I actually meant "I won't bother with it".

Yes?

Due to demand they've announced they're extending the Beta until tomorrow.

Bloody hell how jarring is it to go from all these agile European and Japanese cars to Mission Challenge 6 and the Chevrolet Camaro SS, the prior mission an Aston Martin Vantage. Like handling a damn tank. 'Wow, the roar of that engine!' ... and then you actually have to turn the bastard.

'We drive in a straight line over here'. Ha, boy you ain't kidding...

I'm very impressed with how logically the menus have been laid out too, because there's still a lot of comprehensive stuff in there. It's not like the wealth of car tweakery has been dumped.

I was just thinking how amazing it would be to play the game with this:

As an alternative to that setup, you could get the chair I've got, the player challenge:

I'm so sorry about the state of that carpet and mess on the shelf

Having extensively used a fixed setup seat like in your picture I can tell you the challenge is just as comfortable AND actually offers a better seating position because you're more horizontal when sat in it. Plus it's got the killer feature of folding up relatively small and being stashable in a cupboard when not in use. Great stuff.

I also have a wheel stand PRO I'm now not using if you'd like to but it :shifty:

It looks kinda like a deck chair, but that does actually fold away really well.

Digital Foundry's assessment of playing the game in 4K HDR:

Gran Turismo Sport is HDR's killer app - a game-changing experience.

And then there's the HDR implementation. We've seen some strong showings from developers before, but GT Sport is the first title we've seen that looks so phenomenal in HDR that it has the potential to prompt a lot of display upgrades. Just remember that a screen advertising HDR may not be fully up to spec - our 4K HDR buyer's guide should hopefully put you on the right track. At its fullest potential, HDR is a game-changer and GT Sport may well be its first killer app.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit ... killer-app

Some of the comments underneath are being real negative nancies, but there's no way they've experienced it on a proper 4K HDR TV. I'd put my TV at the bottom of the real HDR rung and it's astonishing, let alone someone who has purchased one of LG or Sony's televisions this year. I completely understand that £1500+ is anything but cheap, and not everyone is going to be able to experience it yet, but don't undersell what Polyphony have managed to achieve here. I don't want to say this is a factual statement, but I'm presuming the gulf between playing Sport on a standard PS4, a Pro, and then a Pro hooked up to a 4K HDR TV is the biggest of any game we've seen yet. We're also talking about a system that is reported to be 50% less powerful than the Xbox X, and probably 70% when put up against the best PC on the market. And on a game that 2 months ago looked like a load of arse. The biggest "...and on that bombshell" since maybe the original Halo on Xbox (that was initially ropey as hell when people first saw it).

It may look like a deck chair but it's comfy as hell and has that faux suede feel to it.

They've really gone to town on advertising this; i see bus adverts and posters all over the place. Also got the digital deluxe edition (which is fine for my sig as have technically already played it so it is not sight unseen) for less thanks to cdkeys for psn credit.
