Anyone having a flutter? I recommend using Bet365, if you can get an Each Way bet on before 12 you get half your stake back as cash!

That image is a little out of date but it's the best I could find...

Thunder & Roses has replaced Minella Rocco
Delusion Of Grandeur has replaced Vicente
Walk In The Mill replaced Beeves but has now been withdrawn.
Regal Encore has been withdrawn.

I'll be continuing my tradition of backing the horses with the shittest names and have got a fiver EW on Houblon Des Obeaux and Milansbar. Post your bets here to prevent aftertiming, and good luck to all. :-)

Honestly it's not a particularly predictable race, theres too much going on for form to have much of an impact. If you do have a look into recent races I'd say stamina is the most important thing, you don't want your horse getting knackered half way round.

I'd say treat it as a lottery, pick one you fancy and just run with it.

It’s even if the horse runs the wrong away around the racecourse you still win

An Each-Way bet is technically two bets, one for your horse to win and one for your horse to finish in one of the top places (typically the top five for the National, although some bookies will pay out for six). Half your stake goes on each bet, and your 'place' bet will pay out a quarter the odds of a win.

If you bet £1 each way (a £2 stake) on a horse at odds of 100-1, £1 of your stake will go on the horse to win, and £1 on your horse to place.

Win Prize = £100
Place Prize = £25

If the horse wins, you'll win both bets (£125 in this example). If it places 2nd - 5th you only win the second bet (£25).

TL;DR - You get money if your horse finishes in the top 5.

Thanks. Is it too late to put a bet on?
