I was already sceptical about getting this on release but now I'll definitely be waiting for the 75% off Steam sale.

When are they releasing major DLC for this game ?

GTA4 had 2 or 3 big DLC that were actually better than the full game.

I'd be annoyed about the PC delay but seen as Unity is out at the same time I'll play that instead. As long as we get a well optimised game they can delay it another 6 months if they wanted.

There's a pretty strong rumor they've included a first person viewpoint, both in car and on foot. Bit of a game changer that if true.

CVG have a hands on with console version. 1080p 30fps on XBO and PS4. 4K on PC. Full FPS mode confirmed. Rail guns.

If it's surprises you're after, our hands-on threw up plenty, in vintage GTAV fashion. Even when you adjust to the incredible new visuals, at 1080p and 30fps no less.

First-person mode is the big change. It's not just a case of plonking a new camera within a character's head, just because they could, but an extensive rework of the game's movement, driving and targeting engines. There are thousands of new animations for gun reloading alone, no to mention the first-person views of parachuting, carjacking etc. A particularly fine moment is being run over by a speeding truck in first-person, watching the world rotate and blur, like tipping your head back on a rollercoaster.

You already know whether that's worth £40 of your hard-earned but *seriously*, this is how you do a new-gen update.

So glad I waited.

There was a PC mod in GTA IV which did that, right? Either way that style of play is going to be cray, might play it all that way.

Hopefully it'll be better optimised that gta4 was at launch. I'm kind of tempted, but on the other hand i've played through it all already and am not sure if it's worth doing again.

Haven't played the last-gen version. I genuinely don't know whether to play it FPS Skyrim stylie or third person to retain that GTA flavour.

Well yeah so it looks better but what happened to the traffic density? Remember that trailer...

What happened?

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Does this mean flying and blowing the gooseberry fool out of stuff in the fighter jet in first-person view?!

They didn't show any highway scenes in the trailer.

You can't be telling me traffic density applies exclusively to highways.

I've not played it either yet. I'm a bit concerned how it might change the difficulty as surely every mission and area has been built for a third person camera with lock on targeting? Great option to have to just play about with either way.

I wanted a 1st person view in RDR so much. Just to take in the world.
