The mod community has done incredible things with GTA V but it looks as though rockstar just couldn’t be arsed or don’t care to engage, or at the very least target some of the improvements they have made.

Dude if you haven't, you should see some of the RP servers  The one I've been checking out has a ridiculous number of devs, some of which turned down working for AAA studios (Including Rockstar  ). They put out so much creative stuff (New mechanics, assets, etc).
Gotta admit I've got a bit hooked watching it during the whole pandemic work from home thing. It's like an always-on TV show where you can watch from anyone's perspective.

The PD stuff is especially crazy

The tuner/import shop, which only got added this week. Even the trailers may as well be from R*

...those two vids have content that looks far more impressive than anything we've seen from the official port! :o .

Yep. That’s the point. It’s a lazy rehash. They could have just paid a small amount from their big bucket of cash for some of the mods. But no, we get that.

It’s BS for console owners. I’ll stick with my EGS freebie and all the mods I can get!

To al the people who saw no problem with zero effort Wii U ports on switch because they'd not played them before, welcome to our world

I know right? However, I see it being difficult to really keep everything in check unless it's on private servers with dedicated admins to keep the shitters at bay.

No doubt Rockstar know about them; check Twitch any day of the week and it's these servers keeping it constantly in the top 5 or so watched games.

March 2022 :dread:

Sod it, I'm just going to get the PS4 version. I've never played GTA 5 before and was going to wait for the PS5 version which I thought was coming out this Autumn, but there doesn't look like a huge graphical update, I'm never going to do the online and I'd probably end up waiting a few months after March for a price drop.

Plus ps4 version is on sale on the playstation store for £12 :datass:

That is crazy, it doesn't exactly look like they've been hard at work on it.

You know how sad this is? The one feature they advertised in the trailer isn't even a feature of this particular release. I've seen it around, and had to test for myself. A bit of sorting of my Series S storage and GTA V was now on the internal drive. Load it up, near instant. Swap characters, seamless.

Why would you ever need to upgrade?

Wasn't the whole swap characters thing billed as seamless from day 1 of this game anyway? I thought that was a whole but thing about it?

Well, they might have advertised it as such, in the fact you never had to go into a menu or whatever to do so, but this time they mean instant switching. Which... yeah... Just put the game on an SSD, you now have that feature too.

Oh, wow. They really did advertise it as instant switching between characters. That definitely was never happening.

Has anyone played the GTA - Diamond Casino Heist ? I want to try it even though I'm very late to play it. just want to know your inputs first.

I wouldn't even bother unless you have like-minded people who want to do it with you. Fortunately, you only need one other person for it, but unless you trust that person to not mess things up, you'll end up failing over and over again. As for the heist itself, it's decent enough. Enemies can be a pain to deal with, but if you're being sneaky and get headshots on everyone you need to, it's fine.
