Fade, stop. You don't like it, we get it.

It's why I chose to ignore his question when he first asked it weeks ago. (I had enough of this kind of gooseberry fool in the FF XV thread.)

I really don't get this game though. Like I don't enjoy Metal Gear Solid but I can see why people do, and appreciate it's well made for people who like stealth games.

But what exactly does this game do better than other games?

What other games let me shift gravity in a 3D space and walk/run/kick ass on/from walls? All while having a modern gameplay loop of side mission and diversion activities. And all the while looking like something from a modern Jean "Mobius" Giraud comic. Find me another game which has all that, and obviously not forgetting the amazing melee of Mirror's Edge 2, and I'll happily check it out.
You also say it's as though they mapped a touch screen game to a pad. I mean, well, yeah, kind of. The game did start out on Vita. But guess what? It controls far better on a DS4. Oh and it has oodles of face button controls. But maybe you weren't aware of those.
Fade, you didn't even know she had way to move faster through the air, this after playing the demo for 2 (and I think) owning the first game on Vita. Who knows what else you aren't aware of, so are you *really* able to ponder why other people like it? What we do know is that you don't like the game. That's fine. Move on. I don't like any RTS ever, and I don't suppose I ever will. I don't spend any time trying to figure it out, or trying to pick them apart. I just see it as one of those things and play something else.

Shuhei, if you're reading this, have my brown bag full of fivers ready for me at the usual place and time.

I want to agree with you SoK, but all I can think is "all this coming from a guy who let not liking No Man's Sky officially ruin his life"

Gravity Rush is my No Man's Sky. I just wish it had some kind of block or counter system, I'd enjoy the game 10x more.

Holy gooseberry fool guys this is strawberry floating beautiful

I mean I am a big fan of the first game, and just played through remastered in the last 3 evenings, but this blows it out of the water. It looks incredible with a perfectly realised setting, tons of style, and amazing environment design that the game lets you just zoom around in. It plays so much better than the first game, especially with more balanced (not perfectly balanced, but definitely more balanced) combat that is no longer just repeating one thing over and over. The story feels so well married into the game now, especially when comparing the opening to this with the first game - it's a lot more narrative driven but still letting you explore and do side things between missions. The online features are really nicely integrated, and I love the quirky photo mode that is perfect for the game's aesthetic.

Please buy it

This will likely be my second physical game purchase of 2017. It's not that I am waiting for a cut in its price, but I have so many games in my bought but-yet-to-play list that it really would be irresponsible of me to buy this now. :shifty:

Gravity Rush Remastered is currently listed at £150+ on amazon/ebay.

And I sold mine for a tenner or so a few weeks back :fp:

It was £11 new just a few months ago but I figured I'd just get around to picking it up eventually. Been watching ebay for the last 3 weeks and pre-owned prices have been steadily creeping up towards £30. I think what's caused this £150+ spike is someone made a post on Neogaf last week about how it was impossible to now get a copy in the US. Some sites picked it up as a new story and suddenly you started to see copies on Ebay UK/Amazon Marketplace for these silly prices.

So I finished the story last night. Now I just have to round off the missing collectibles, earn enough money to fully upgrade Kat and farm dusty tokens for the online unlocks. Got a couple of trophies left to tick off too.

I absolutely love this game. Took me 45 hours to reach the final credits and I'm still not done!

I wouldn't worry too much, it's still £25 at CEX (and trade in value of £11)
