I've never been much of a mead fan, find it way way too sweet for my liking.

The Citra one had a kind of saltiness to it that balanced the sweet, was good.

Did you like them?

my completely expert notes:

all three of these were very refreshing, bitter, with hints of grapefruit. one of them was a lot more grapefruity than the other 2, which i preferred. cant remember which one though :fp:

this was probably my favourite. bitter, with some body, but not too bitter, or with a weird aftertaste.

Image
this was nice, but the coffee note was just too pronounced. id have preferred it a bit more subtle.

thanks Mafro, i enjoyed all 5, not a bad drink there at all :D

These are really delicious so far. Never even knew what mead was really so a pleasant surprise. They go down easily.

Thanks again.

glad you liked them False :D
Erkall; there's actually 2 types of mead, flat, and carbonated. these are carbonated and a lot less sweet. the flat versions are a lot more like drinking a honey'd desert wine. these taste like larger with something added.

I'm down to my last cider from this. Every one so far has been great, I definitely want to source in some more to go with the Aspalls I have at home. I'm currently trying the flat-tyre Rhubarb one now and it's surprisingly nice. I didn't even know I liked the flavour of Rhubarb. :fp:
