Can you check with the person sending mine? Still haven't received anything and I'll probably miss any parcel deliveries tomorrow and Saturday because I'll be at work :?

Sorry meant to say, I have checked and it should be going out yesterday or today. Got to love last minute aye......

How long have we had to do this, 6 weeks? Why wait until 3 days to go? :|

:(

I've really not been well recently, and only very recently had any quids in as I'm basically a jobless bum and wanted to pick up one more thing. I never really stop being stressed and don't have "home time". I chose the drinks off the shelf myself out of town, didn't use a courier/website, don't drive blahblah. I think that was my first day out of town for months, other than seeing my grandmother in hospital. I knew this would be a problem for me which is why I was the last person to join, had I not it wouldn't have happened. Thems the breaks. Didn't cheap out either. So there are reasons why someone is always late, it's a draw of straws whatever you do or whoever you are.

Got a right earful at the post office, does anyone else even know about the regulations? They thought it was spirits, you're only allowed to post 2 drinks per package (good thing I did two packages), and you're also meant to seal the entire thing in polythene and include return address (got away with that). I must have stated it's beverages, then drinks, then ale, then beer at least twice. Cost about 9 quid.

I might be late at everything but I deliver on my word. I didn't have time to include any story stuff, just getting to the right place at the right time is a daily struggle for me so I'm sorry it doesn't line up with chaos somewhere else - it will arrive.

Btw mine arrived yesterday. Looking forward to Sunday or Monday or whenever. :)

Yeah spirits are restricted but beer shouldn't be. Mind you every time I have used the post office in Lewes they have been dicks.

They're usually friendly. I'm just often misunderstood as angry or frustrated when I'm just confused so they did the whole de escalation thing unnecessarily and ended up with one of those brochures.

Of course I would be slightly perplexed about sending beers as everyone else has already done it and not mentioned it being a problem. It's just food, but they're highly suspicious of it being flammable spirits I guess. God I hate social awkwardness sometimes. Why can't people just take what you say on face value without reading into strawberry floating everything.

This is why I don't go outside. :slol:

It's a bummer but there were 2 post days.

I guess next month we should plan a day to receive more rather than hoping for the best, whether we will be in.

When I miss stuff it just goes to the neighbour or the delivery office which is a 15 minute walk so it's never really a problem. Mine arrived via APC and gave them neighbour address. You can advise RM wether you have a preferred neighbour and I'm also thinking those delivery droppoffs at places like B&Q and sainsbury could he helpful but I'm not sure who does that.

Also got a letter with a picture, I think I may put it on my fridge.

Technically only one is a stout :P

My logic was:

Founders - One of my all time top beers so wanted to share something I really like
EvilTwin - One of the of the best brewers in the world, Evil Twin is a nomadic brewer like Mikkeller he goes to a brewery with a beer and contracts them to make the beers
Sierra Nevada - Awesome brewer, everyone has had Torpedo and Pale Ale so thought go for you one less common
Blacks - Not one I have had or know anything but Black IPA is one of my favourite styles and one that a lot haven't tried so figured what the hell

It has been pretty much worked out but here is who bought for who:

<]:^D bought for Green Gecko who bought for Mafro who bought for LewisD who bought for Dual who bought for Skarjo who bought for Delusibeta who bought for Preezy who bought for Errkal who bought for Chalkitdown who bought for <]:^D

Thanks everyone for joining in! Hopefully we can make this a regular event once a year or something.
