According to Wikipedia it sold 1.34 million copies which would put it at 11th anyway.

The reason its not on the list is that it was never a number 1 single in the UK.

Being number 1 has nothing to do with it. Last Christmas was never a number 1 but makes the 80s list.

Wonderwall might have sold 1.34m copies, but I assume it didn't sell all of those copies in the 90s.

Yes they all reached it, but that wasn't the criteria for entry to the list.

You are too quick for me.

Interesting, it seems like there's some dispute over the figures from the 90s on that list anyway due to changes in the companies providing chart figures.

That’s not how democracy works. We had a vote, you cast yours and now that is carved into stone forever.

Do you want us to just keep voting until you get the answer that you want?

Has to be Relax from that list. Really like The Human League but prefer their other songs.

Uh oh. The current results are not acceptable to our moral guardian. The poll will have to remain open until tomorrow and he hopes that you all come to your senses.

It probably shows how much I love 80's music but it was a hard choice but I plumed for Human League. Mostly as it was number one when I was born.

Can't believe there isn't a single Jackson song in that list.

That is the third best song called The power of Love that came out in the 80s.

I refuse to vote until Huey Lewis and the News are added to the list.

Voted Dexy's out of that list. It's so 80s with its video, clothes, hair and all but it's a bona fide classic from the best decade of music since I've been around (into my 5th decade now).

Saying that, I wouldn't choose it as my personal fave of all 80s tunes I think. That honour would go elsewhere but not sure where yet

With 24% of the vote, Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood was declared the best single of the 80s!

Next up is the 90s. Good luck picking one of these top quality tunes....
