It's under Worcestershire Sauce.

Don't even go there Moggy, you'll incur the wrath of the whole of Yorkshire for suggesting the two are alike.

I like it mixed into mash potato.

It appears the only difference is Worcestershire Sauce uses anchovies and Hendo’s uses cloves.

So yeah, it’s basically just a gooseberry fool version of Worcestershire Sauce and deserves no individual place on this list.

It's basically just Yorkshire ripping off Worcestershire.

Ahhh then yeah it shouldn't be on there as the only good thing to come from Yorkshire is Yorkshire Pudding and James Martin.

No BBQ or curry? Poll is void.

This thread has just got me thinking about how awesome thousand island sauce is. :datass:

Went with ketchup from that list. Cannot understand how Mayo is winning, disgusting stuff. Anyone voting for it should be ashamed of themselves for dishonouring their families by holding such opinions. :P

Like I said earlier, it's the most versatile on the list. It takes on flavours like harissa paste or garlic better than the rest of the list and it's the base of a bunch of types of condiments like thousand island or Subway style honey mustard.

Plus you can't make chocolate cake with ketchup. Mayonnaise though...

Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should!

As for versatility you should have a word with my father in law, he puts ketchup on pretty much everything. I've seen him produce some truly awful creations! :dread:

McDonald's used to do little tubs of mustard. I've not had it for possibly a good two decades, but it was always my favourite, so I'm voting for that .

I don't know if you are familiar with the Jamaican dish ackee and saltfish, but I know somebody that puts ketchup on that.

Not familiar with it but after a quick google that looks like just the sort of thing where if presented with it the father in law would ask "why isn't the ketchup on the table!?"

I love me some ketchup but come on people, pick the right tool for the job!

I quite like French mustard.

Is Marie Rose what was Thousand Island Dressing? That's an essential ingredient of Reuben sandwiches and is therefore Godly!

"Interesting" poll in that my favourite 3 have the most votes, although surprised Mayonnaise is winning. I do like Mayonnaise, but mainly only with fries and also in a tuna and tomato sandwich. If I had to make a snap decision I'd probably say that was my favourite, but thinking about it more, I would say that Tomato sauce is more versatile and used with more meals so hence it got my vote.

Yes?
