Why is Toby Stephens in the poll? Wasn't he the bad guy in that one with diamond face and Madonna doing the soundtrack?

Because he's played Bond four times.

Did you know that bond has killed over 300 people in all the films.

Timothy Dalton I think is highly underrated, especially because he was also the most insane and evil bond.

(He killed several innocent dock workers and trapped a dock security guard in a freezer for no reason)

Other than Die Another Day his films weren't too bad, he is the best bond it is just a shame his films are weaker than the connery films. It is a bit like Capaldi and Who, he would be a great doctor if the episodes were written by someone not gooseberry fool.

Other than Goldeneye, none of the Brosnan movies would be anywhere near the top 10 Bond films. It's a shame (as he was a decent Bond) but Die Another Day alone is enough to count him out as the best Bond (imo).

His Bond films get progressively worse.

There's a big drop after Goldeneye though. And Die Another Day was so bad they had to reboot the franchise...

I liked the one with the millennium dome in it... when he is on the boat underwater and he adjusts his tie - just brilliant  .

Goldeneye is a bit odd in that one of the staples of a Bond film - the gadget-laden car - is absent. He drives a BMW Z3 in 1 scene but doesn't do anything exciting with it. We get to see it in Q's dungeon but it's nothing memorable.

But then I guess he drives a tank so whatevs

I went for Craig because Casino Royale and Skyfall are two of my favourites but on another day I would pick Connery. It's between those two! I loved Brosnan but only really for Goldeneye. I've never actually seen the Dalton films. :shifty:

You should. They are really good and were ahead of their time.

I definitely will at some point. When I remember and don't have anything better to do.

I mostly watch Bond when I come across it on the TV but it always seems to be Brosnan and Moore films.

I watched them all (including the original Barry Nelson one  ) around the time that Skyfall came out, Sky had them all available on demand and so me and the wife worked our way through them.

Nelson was crap, the movie was crap but it was all quite funny to watch.
Connery was a great Bond and had the most consistently good Bond stories.
Niven was ok but it was a shockingly bad "spoof" movie.
Lazenby was crap and had a crap movie.
Moore was 70s/80s cheesy camp and had some shockingly bad movies. He is the Bond I remember from childhood though.
Dalton was a great Bond has 2 good movies.
Brosnan was a good Bond but only had 1 good movie.
Craig is a good Bond and has 2 good movies.

Out of the main Bonds, I am torn between Connery and Dalton as being best.

Well you're just wrong. You probably rank them in alphabetical order.

I rank them by how good they are. TND is not one of the worst, it's not one of the best. It's ok.
