This is very relevant to me as I'm thinking about moving to one of these cities soon, probably Bristol.

No idea which is the best, only been to Edinburgh and Glasgow before.

Never been to Leeds or Wakefield.

I like Glasgow, Bristol was nice, since moving away Ive come to appreciate Liverpool a bit more. Not a fan of Manchester now its my closest city. I find Birmingham too much of a pain to get around, similar to Manchester.

Id probably go for Glasgow, but all cities have their nice places and their shitholes and its impossible to have seen all they have to offer.

Glasgow. I live just outside it and I work there. Can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be in the UK to be honest.

Though I do have an irrational love for the place. I can't explain it, I just really love Glasgow.

I didn't realise Wakefield was a city. Edinburgh out of the list as a place to visit. Not sure i'd like it as a place to live though. I went for Manchester.

Because I have to give something for people to whine about with every poll. ;)

It's excluded because it is too big.

This. It'll break my heart to move away.

Outside of my obvious bias, on that list, Manchester is a cracking night out. Edinburgh is ok, I find it very dull. There isn't much to do, and it's awfully grey. Again though, I'm probably biased because they take salt and sauce on their chips instead of salt and vinegar. There's a nice park in the centre though. I've only been to Liverpool and Birmingham very briefly, passing through. Newcastle is nice, and I haven't been to the rest.

It's excluded because it is too big.

Then shouldn't this be the "big, but not the biggest, cities edition"?

No-one wants to live in London anyway.

Isn't there a growing independence movement in London? I remember reading that something like 60% of those polled said that they'd be happy for London to break with the rest of the UK sometime last year.

Apart from my mate accidentally booking us into a hotel that was also a brothel, Glasgow really surprised me by how nice it was

My girlfriend hates it here(she's from Sydney) but hers is the only negative review I've ever heard of the place. People don't realise how decent a place it is to live and work in.
