First things first, let's do it properly and get the book and luxury item added in as well.
10 songs is ridiculously hard to decide on and I'd probably have a different selection if I did this again in 5 minutes time.
So here goes (in no particular order):
1. Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash. My grandad LOVED Johnny Cash and so it'll always have a place in my heart.
2. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (Anthology version) - The Beatles. The glass breaking at the start always makes me smile. And it reminds me of my son, he used to ask for the "1, 2, 3 song".
3. Blowing' In The Wind - Bob Dylan. No special reason, I'm just in a Dylan mood.
4. Don't Leave Me This Way - The Communards. A perfect pop song.
5. All Things Must Pass - George Harrison. Just because it's a wonderful song.
6. Estranged - Guns n Roses. I could pick almost any song from their first 3 albums. But decided to go for length.
7. Spanish Bombs - The Clash. No real reason, just a song I really enjoy.
8. I Feel Love - Donna Summer. It's nearly 50 years old and still sounds like it's from the future.
9. Right Here, Right Now - Fatboy Slim. I needed a 90s dance track and figured Ironhide had taken all the Chemical Brothers.
10. Still D.R.E. - Dr Dre. There's definitely better rap tunes out there, but nothing as fun to rap along to as this.
Book: The Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien
Luxury Item: A Gameboy Advance (with unlimited batteries and a decent selection of games
)
The one disc I'd save: You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
