Congratulations SD.

Mocky must be exhausted. And unemployed.
So my hat's off for him making THE EVENT of GRcade so far.

Nicely done.

Cheers. It is a relief. If I ever do it again I'll actually plan it in advance instead of one day randomly spontaneously deciding to do a game that takes over one's life.

I really enjoyed doing it, but thank strawberry float it's over.

Err, I won?

I never, ever thought I would get this far, let alone win it. Thanks to everyone who voted to keep me in during the political stage and thanks to the opposite team for keeping me in during the Pub Quiz, I couldn't of done it without all your help. The other thing i'd like to say is thanks to Mocky for running such an entertaining game, although on some days it meant I kept having to F5, it seems it was worth it.

Everything was fine at the hospital, still. I can't believe I won.

Thanks extended to Mocky for running this too, it's been entertaining, to say the least.

Cheers Mocky for a brilliantly run competition. I can't believe I put so much effort into a competition I was conscripted into.

To my team in the Pub Quiz I wish to say "Thanks a bunch" for bringing him through to best me in the final. But then again he did deserve to be kept in. I was pretty much deadweight myself that day anyway. Well done to SD for being such a good competitor and a well-earned victory is his. I'm pretty sure SD got here without any LES and that is the true way to win The Eliminator.

Finishing second is bittersweet. To come so far in the competition only to be knocked out at the very end isn't the best way to go out. I feel like Felipe Massa and my family feel like Massa's family. Only much poorer and less Brazilian. The entire competition was worth it for Roonmastor's Eliminator alone which was brilliant fun to organise and run. Although I do know how Mockmaster feels about being happy when all the behind the scenes organisation is over.

All I know is I almost had a heart attack where you hit that telescope square, I thought it was the squares around that. I would of lost if you had just looked one square down. I honestly thought you had beaten me when you hit all my ships in one fell sweep. I was so damn lucky to of hit your smallest ship with a completely random shot.

Good game, you fought until the very end, you were just incredibly unlucky with my last ship. I honestly thought that would of been the first place you would of looked. :)

Great choice. I saw it at the cinema, it's even better if you like card games.

It is precisely because I thought you thought it'd be the first place that I'd look I thought it'd be the last place you'd put it. The 1er made the game bloody difficult because it isn't a piece you can narrow down your search for. You either find it or you don't. When you hit mine I knew it was game over and I could only get back into the game once I found your 1er, which is why I didn't sink the ships I had found.

Seeing as I was fired from my job because of this game, I'd say that is likely. Certainly from Day 6 or 7 onwards this game literally took over my life. Towards the end the pressure eased but it was always there in the background. A bittersweet beast of burden.

I had originally planned to do a literally MASSIVE Eliminator retrospective highlighting peoples' memorable events from the contest, counting down through each Elimination, but no.

I will instead let you all reminisce amongst yourselves, as you have been doing.

And now it is time for the Eliminator Prize Presentation Ceremony.

StayingDead.

Congratulations.

I may be wrong but I understand you used to be Giann the Schazman on GR 1.0. Well, now you will forever be immortalised as StayingDead. From your naive beginnings as a member of Group A, right to the bitter end, you survived the Eliminations of 700 other contestants to get here, culminating with the much fancied and highly competitive fan favourite Roonmastor, and certainly, when you got to the last 50 or so, every day became a supreme battle to just be StayingAlive.

And yet, you did it. From my perspective your will to win was epitomised in your recruiting of an entire OTHER FORUM to help you win the voting task against PsychicSykes and Spacejebus, and in the process tripling GRcade's membership.

Anyway, onto the Prize Presentation:

Prize 1

Here is your prize winning sig. May you wear it with honour:

Created by the LewisD Signature Association of Sig-Makers.

Prize 2

You have a choice.

BOX 1

You may choose any item or items from the Forbidden Planet website up to the value of £20, not including shipping.

BOX 2

I will donate £21 to a charity of your choosing.

It is up to you which box you choose.

Prize 3

Perhaps the biggest prize of all. You have attained permanent LEGENDARY EXEMPTION STATUS until the next Eliminator, if there is one.

Thanks once again to everyone who entered the contest. Without all of you, this game would have been alot shorter.

#Do you feel the power, Of the Eliminator...
Do you have the skill...and the will?

Do you have the speed, the strength, the heart to be a winner? It's not for beginners.
Deep down in your soul. Can you win the Eliminator?

Gotta move like a streetwise fighter. Gotta face the fire of the tiger.
Gotta give your all to win. Ready or not, let the challenge begin.

Can you match the strength of the Eliminator? Do you have the fire within you?
Do you have the heart of a lion? Do you have the power in your soul?

Gotta move with lightning speed. Feel the strength for what you need.
Gotta take it on the chin. Gotta love it, love to fight and win.#

The Eliminator has been eliminated.

strawberry floating hell. i was just going to post some silly comment about how personally disgusted I felt at being eliminated simply because of my own inability to read a simple instruction, but now I feel terrible. On the upside, in the future you'll have an anecdote of George Costanza-esque quality about why you were sacked from a job. That probably doesn't help now, but... eh, you know what I'm saying.

And you carried on running the contest! What a strawberry floating dude. Hope you get something else soon man, you're a legend.

Well done Staying Dead! Talk about a hard fought victory, this was the ultimate iron man contest.

I really enjoyed my time playing this and feel like I got to know a few folk on here a bit better, I hope you got to know me, too (even if it was as a back-stabbing turncoat :D ).

Mockmaster, hats of to you, it was a brilliant competition and surely in the running for Event of the.......Forever?!

Sorry to hear about your job though, that's terrible. As pretentious moi said though, quite the story to tell at parties.

Good competition, and very well made. I was out to win it at the start, but i'm glad i bowed out when i did, because the later challenges seemed very difficult to successfully pull off!

Congratulations to StayingDead, and thanks to Mockmaster.

A package turned up yesterday addressed to "Mr Roonmastor". Brought a smile to my face.

Thanks again for running this Mocky. One of the most competitive forum games I've ever played.
