Wasn't fussed about the LHW title fight's outcome, don't particularly care for either of them, but was an okay fight.

I can't stand Chris Weidman. Maybe it's just my pure bitterness from seeing his post fight talk with joe rogan, but I just don't see how this guy hasn't been beaten yet, yea he's a good wreslter, but man, he just seems like, particularly in standup, someone should of had his number by now. Maybe he just has such a granite chin he fears nobody hitting him. I wish vitor just KO'd the god loving patriotic prick though, and I hate vitor because he's almost as detestable for the same reasons. But I'd rather him win.

Weidman is such a boring banana split.

On UFC Tonight, UFC president Dana White announced two new championship fights but no dates for when those fights will take place.

The first was Daniel Cormier defending his light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson, not Ryan Bader as previously expected. Bader and Cormier had a verbal altercation at the UFC 187 post-fight press conference after Cormier's win over Anthony Johnson. Gustafsson hasn't fought since losing to Johnson in Stockholm, Sweden, via first round stoppage.

White's second reveal was that Chris Weidman would be defending his middleweight title against Luke Rockhold. That fight makes the most sense given Rockhold's impressive win over Lyoto Machida on 4/18 in Newark, NJ. The reason that fight's date wasn't announced is UFC is still hoping it could be on 12/6 in Madison Square Garden, but time is running out on getting legislation passed in New York to allow that show to take place.

Glad they went with Gustafsson over Bader.

I always thought it was down to that guy from the unions who didn't like Frank and Lorenzo, but AFAIK he's out of the way now, so it can't just have been that. I read something about it being seen as too violent, but I don't know how true that is. They've pretty much had every high-profile fighter try and lobby for it, as well as Dana and Lorenzo, so if none of that's convinced them, you wonder what will.

Jose aldo out of ufc 189 due to an injury. This guy is fishy as hell. First the whole Drug test stuff than he gets injured a day after a random rumour started he was injured which his camp denied.

Sounds like Aldo-McGregor is going ahead, although Aldo will have heavily bruised ribs. Works out well for the UFC; McGregor wins because of the injury, instant rematch as a result, twice the dough for Dana.

Subscribed to Fight Pass again since there's an Xbox One app out so I'll be able to watch it on TV rather than a tablet or computer. So many likeable fighters around just two years ago compared to the boring, irritating banana splits they have around now.
