So Yoel Romero missed weight for the interim middleweight title fight with Luke Rockhold, meaning if he won he wouldn't get the interim title if he won. He wins and will be fighting Robert Whittaker for the actual title when he's fit again anyway

What a shame, that fight was completely ruined by that cut to Eubank in the third round. Ultimately Eubank should really be fighting at middleweight as he struggled to get past groves jab due to the size difference but I think the cut really hindered him.

Yeah it got a bit like Haye v Bellew, after Haye ruptured his Achilles. I would say Eubank got frustrated and resorted to wild punching but to be honest he boxed that way from the start, it just got more desperate as it when on.

The rumour seems to be that they'll strip Conor's belt once they both make weight. Makes sense. Conor is fantastic fun to watch fight and for chatting gooseberry fool and hype building but if he's not going to defend, it's got to happen at some point.

I was channel-hopping at the weekend and end up watching some UFC where this Peter Crouch lookalike Russian dude beat up a flabby Brazilian that's apparently a complete legend. It was really interesting to watch - the Russian was so much taller, his legs were almost as long as the other guy was tall. They both got bloodied up pretty bad as well.

Sounds like Volkov vs Werdum from UFC London. Have you not watched much MMA before?

I actually went to watch a UFC event at the o2 probably 10 years ago, and have dipped in now and then but I wouldn't class myself as a follower of the sport, no. It was those 2 guys yeah. Quite enjoyed it.
