Couldn't care less about any of them, to be honest. I can't even be arsed downloading it.

Do you think the UFC is just buying sub par talent Brazilian fighters because it's probably cheap and they're paying them gooseberry fool, just to fill out their event cards. It seems like, particularity events like this there's so many names that I've never heard of or familiar with. I do know UFC tend to get a load of fighters from whatever country they visit on a card. But like you guys say, I reckon the UFC is like 80% Brazillain fighters now :slol: Not that I have anything against Brazilians... especially the women :shifty:

I'm looking at the upcoming schedule and the amount of events is bloody ridiculous.

I definitely would prefer having less cards but bulked with more exciting talent. Established fighters if you will. It's over-saturation for one brand. It's like UFC are trying to be the whole of MMA or something. I think the UFC have over estimated the market. Ofc you will have those hardcore fans who will watch EVERYTHING. But I imagine most fans, even ones who have watch MMA for many years only really have the time for the odd event each month providing there's sell-able fights that appeal. I mean I've said this before but to get excited for an event you have to care somewhat about the fighters on that card and the matchups. If you don't know anything about them and don't have the time/care to watch the past fights of these unknown guys or ufc countdown shows etc. It's hard to get hyped. These day's more often than not it only seems like every good few months there's an event (out of of the oh so many) with more than one fight that I'm excited for.

Ofc it should be noted I don't even have BT sports as I have to stream all the events pretty much that I watch, but if you can put that to one side as far as someone who hasn't paid for much of the content and acknowledge purely my point that it wasn't ever quite like it is now, it was better before essentially. Less shows more stacked cards.

It's not as if you have to watch every event, if you only want to see stacked cards then stick to the numbered events, and even then sometimes you get nights like this, that's just MMA. The card was fine, good even, good talent especially for a Fight Night (which they've documented is going to be about showcasing local/national talent from now on) but it didn't come together. It's certainly nothing to do with Brazilians :? If everyone had been finished in the first round, no one would be moaning about anything, but of course it doesn't always happen like that, it's not a sign of anything negative or foreboding.

It's not even about if the fighters are good or not, it's how you marketing them. Think I mentioned this before, when I first started watching (which wasn't even that long ago!), UFC 92. Matches were Quinton Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva, Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir &Forrest Griffin (c) vs. Rashad Evans. It had such a good build because all the focus was on this card. You knew you were getting atleast 3 high profile fights and had time to build the profiles of the fighters in that you had to see these fights.

These days they just throw people out there with no build up, nothing and expect you to care. Even Strikeforce knew how to market the lesser known guys, Chad Griggs wasn't exactly technically in any way but they a good job of playing the under dog card with him. It didn't work out in the end but the Heavyweight Grand Prix was hella exciting when it was first announced.

There are too many fighters, people (not all) too worried to lose and we have these decision driven cards that bores the pants off everyone.

Will give that a read later. GSP's been sticking the boot in lately as well, and Dana/the UFC have made a few comments which haven't gone over too well with fans.

Interesting time for them.

Herb Dean. Whats up with him? Lets the Mullet Walberger fight go on far too long but steps in to stop the main event title fight the instant Mcmann hits the mat? Felt far too early for me.

Disappointing event really.

Daniel Cormier  So glad he completely dismantled that Cummins prick in such a swift manner. The over-the-top build up of him by the UFC was tedious as strawberry float.

Rousey looks strawberry floating hilarious during her walkout. Hoodie up, Monster headphones around her neck with that dumb "menacing" look on her face  That early stoppage :fp:

I'm surprised for those who saw this last night, haven't mentioned the legend that was born last night. The Just Boo God - otherwise known as The Epic Boo Guy.

Best part of the whole event :slol:

And I agree those stoppages were poor. Maia vs Rory was a great fight though.

What I will say about rousey is her boxing is gooseberry fool, she can't strike can she . Like her knees and clinch work is solid but if she fought cyborg standing she'd get strawberry floated up.

Gilbert Melendez resigns with UFC - Will do TUF season 20 opposite Pettis. Have zero interest in Bellator so this is good news for me.

Reminder that the free Fight Pass trial runs out on Friday 28th, so you'll have to cancel before then if you don't want to be charged.

Very interesting. Ch5 are showing the main fight live from 9pm with highlights of the rest of the card afterwards until 11pm. BT Sport are still showing the whole event live.
