I've had this idea for a few weeks, but held it back for the GRcade launch after the news of GamesRadar's demise.
Let's see all the artistic talent GRcade has to offer. This is a place to share your illustrations, whether they're hand-drawn, painted, photoshopped or vector art. Then allow others to critique and advise.

To start things off, here's a poster I did recently for a Lee Scratch Perry gig, and a self-portrait I created a few years ago ...

Those are fantastic Yoshimi, how did you get that effect for the self portrait? I tried to do some Julian Opie (very similar to your self portrait) themed artworks ages ago but failed miserably.

Nice idea. I'm the worst artist in the entire world, but I'll be looking forward to checking out other people's work!

To be fair, it's not just your art. The same could be said about your writing...

I took a photograph into Adobe Illustrator and drew over with the pen tool, blocking shapes of colour. It's time consuming, but looks far far better than any filter or effect.

I'd link you to my brothers website, but his friend has overwhelmed it with gooseberry fool. So here's his deviantart instead:

Loads of stuff on
http://lunalacerta.deviantart.com. Is this just for illustration or can we show fine art stuff as well? Here are a some choice pics (go to DA for ulta-high res... please 'cause I am respecting page-stretching here and some are very detailed):
(Roughly 80x50cm.)
(The above was merely a tracing of a photo to get used to Corel Painter and my tablet but I like the lineart style.)
(That is 150x140cm.
)
Yarr.

Wow, some of this stuff is really good.
I'm just using photoshop at the moment and don't really have anything to show, just basic stuff I've got off tutorials. There's only 1 thing I've made just from fiddling around a bit.

I'm in the process of thinking about maybe one day creating a side-scrolling action platformer.
