Well its lead to another local show. And the artist who bought some prints wants to see an old drawing of mine.

All prints are sold with info stamped on the back and a business card in the bag. Cant do that with the fridge magnets as they are loose and the stamp wont show on the back. Could maybe put a sticker on but that might get in the way.

Well your not the only GRcadian with them. 8-)

Still worth bunging in a flyer/resume when you sell a fridge magnet. All generates interest. And future sales.....

Definitely, man. There has to be a way of getting folk to look at your website after buying any of your stuff, Matt. I'd like to be able to browse the magnets via your site; it'd be ace to be able to discover what is available and also to see any new designs that arrive.

Sudden random thought #22: You could even do sneak previews on the site of new designs i.e. a wee snip of a draft outline or something. I know this wouldn't work as well on your in-depth artworks, but it could be cool for the magnet pieces.

...treble post alert!

In my "selling ideas" mode, how about offering a fifty pence discount to GRcadian orders if they agree to post a photo of their fridge magnets here in GR? I know that margins can be tight, but it may be worth it for the additional exposure? "MK Art magnets in real-life scenarios!" :) .

I refuse to believe that any GRcadian would sully their fine reputation through failing to comply...

...

... :shifty:

...but, yeah, it might not work  . Perhaps instead... some kind of discount in the form of multi-buy? One magnet for £2.50, two for £4.75, three for £7.00 - just a wee initiative to encourage folk to dive in?

I dunno what the current magnet pricing is, though. Do you have a set pricing schedule or is it "upon application", dude?

£3 each. 2 for £5. 4 for £10.

I know you dream of a future where every GR member has a fridge decorated with one of my magnets and I agree it would be a beautiful Utopian society to live in. But, some people probably do think they are a bit gooseberry fool.

Been able to finish (I think) off these over the last few days. Cant work on anymore without doing some proper drawing and I don't think my arm is up for that. :( Might be able to some things that don't need much precision.

So yesterday I signed up to have a stall at Worthing Wormhole Comic Con. Although for some reason they think I'm the chap from Peep Show. Anyway. Got lots to get ready. Trying to make Christmas cards.

Actually shitting myself about doing this. :dread:

:o . I completely missed seeing this suite of Doctors and I've only just noticed it! You've really captured their appearances so well... and the colouring is excellent. I particularly like Tom's scarf.... great work, Matt :toot: .

This is great news - it's just the kind of show that your Who and sci-fi artwork will be suited to! Hopefully the attendees are going to be the right type of folk to really dig your stuff... this is a superb opportunity :) .

Huh?!? .

Christmas cards sound excellent... I can just see your take of Tom Baker with his scarf, standing by christmas presents tumbling from the TARDIS door :toot: .

Dude, try not to get stressed - you've done well to sign up for it and it seems to be an ideal event to showcase your art (and cards and fridge magnets!).

Blimey, Matt - this is brilliant!

The quality of the recording from your phone isn't quite good enough to see much detail - I couldn't read the words - but I can tell that the cards look fantastic :) . Top bloke for creating an idea and then delivering it :toot: .

That Darth Vader one  . They’re all great, man - I like the little touches such as the wee bit of snow on the TARDIS. Hopefully they’ll go down a storm at your show in November!
