...that's great stuff! Well played, Matt. Will you be seeing the singing chef at all this time around?

I recognise most of the pieces ... except for that second picture. Is that a new one, dude?

It's not new but it's not been on display before.

Singing chef is my boss. I see him all the time.

Day 3 of 6 today.

So having made it past the half way point I've reached the grand total of £11.

:(

Ah well its not like today there is a massive sporting event to distract people from coming......

Oh.

Final weekend underway. Nothing else to report. It's just not happening for me this year. Last weekend I took over £100 for someone else though.

Bastard.

On the upside I've had to have my graphic design head on at work. Hopefully will lead to something cool.

It went well. I took more money then last year. I effectively did the same but sold 2 mugs and a print to bump it up. Last year it was only cards and magnets that got sold. I invested in an iZettle and I'm really glad I did as just over half the sales was done on card. It paid for itself and then some. Given how much I paid to get the mugs and new prints done there is no way I came close the breaking even but I did well enough that hopefully people wont be round to break my legs soon. Always got that stock for a future event. Between that and work over the last week I'm run down. So tired. Running a stall like that is well out of my comfort zone and my anxiety does not need asking twice to say hello but it was fun even if very stressful.

It was such a good event that even Jawa came along!

There are some lovely, delicate details on this piece, Matt. I don't want to intrude if the information is personal, but would it be the mother and grandmother holding the baby? Anyhow, it's a delightfully observed work!

So as part of my "therapy" I've been drawing quite a lot. In fact I'm currently in the process of turning one half of my garage into an art studio (and a place to play D&D 5th ed) so I can begin working in larger, full colour fantasy paintings inspired by my heroes (Elmore, Caldwell, Easley, Parkinson, Lockwood, Brom etc). I'm very much an amateur, but am learning all the time. Part of the plan is to also tackle oils.

Anyway, here's a couple of pencil drawings I did whilst holidaying in my caravan back in August. Hope you like them.

I've only just seen these, Gemini - great work! I particularly like the way in which you've drawn the beard. I bet it feels good to be returning to a hobby that you enjoy? Keep the momentum going, dude :-) .

Cheers and yes I am enjoying it. I should have the studio finished this week so I can begin some full colour works. Been watching a lot of Bob and Steve Ross on YouTube. They're landscape works are awesome.
