New York has just entered it's newest year, we've been told by the govener that this year is going to be the best there's ever been. It's 1921, the air is clear and the future is bright. Me and the boys had a rough time a while ago, but things are finally looking on the up.
Things are starting to get a little out of control down here though. The police are starting to lose control of everything. It's like they don't have a clue what they're doing.
The Mafia are killing peoples who don't pay their fines what seems to be every single night these days and nowhere really feels safe. My buddy down at the bar left and never made it home. The police found him at the bottom of the Hudson with a load of bricks strapped to his feet, poor guy never stood a chance. Awful way to go really.
Our little community is getting smaller and I think it's time we finally do something about it. I don't really know what the hell we're gonna do, but it appears that people are starting to take things into their own hands. Scary times.

Qikz here and I thought I'd explain a little bit how this game is going to work. As you haven't played with my more traditional roles I thought it might be best to give an overview of the roles that will be in the game. These are NOT the names of the roles as they'll appear on your Role PMs, but they are what will feature in this first game. After I've run a few games I'll be changing it so it only gives you a vague idea of what might appear. I just want to make it a little easier for everyone to begin with.

Now I won't give away what the roles do until they die despite it being my first game you'll be playing on here as it might give the game away too much. The above roles are the ones CONFIRMED to be in the game, which means everyone has their own role and own objectives.

The Basics
The game will play across two phases. The DAY PHASE and the NIGHT PHASE. During the NIGHT PHASE all roles that have abilities that activate at night will be able to PM me with their decision. This includes all special roles and the Mafia. All special roles will act BEFORE the Mafia kill. Finally, if there's a Serial Killer role they kill last.
During the Night Phase, no posting in the thread will be allowed.
There can be a mayor role in the game, but as above there isn't in this one so I won't explain exactly what it does. However, it is important to note that unlike previous forum games of Mafia there will be no mayoral vote and therefore no Mayoral protection. There are some forms of protection however that may be present, which will become apparant as you play. (I'll reveal them if they occur)
The games first Night Phase will start as of 10PM tonight, and unlike most night phases (where it'll have a 2 hour time limit) tonight as the game is just starting I'm going to give you all until 9AM tomorrow morning to get your night actions in. The normal rotation will be 9PM-11PM Night Phases and the rest of the time will be a day phase, with.
Each day you will put forward a lynch vote, you may also vote for NO LYNCH. That lynch vote must be completed and votes must be collated in the thread by 5PM. The single person then put up for lynch and have 2 hours to try and defend themselves. At 7PM the vote will begin. You may vote GUILTY or INNOCENT. If you don't vote your count is counted as an abstain and not counted. For a successful lynch the GUILTY votes must outnumber the INNOCENT votes. If GUILTY does not out number the INNOCENT votes then the person will be saved from the lynch and the game will move into the NIGHT PHASE. The vote will end at 8PM so will give you 1 hour to discuss the outcome.
All votes will be posted in the thread.
The Rules
General
1. Unless your Role PM explicitly says so, ALL game chatter must be posted in the thread. I repeat, no PM's are allowed unless your role explicitly says you're allowed to.
2. If you go two consecutive DAY PHASES without posting at least 2 posts in the thread, I will prod you for a responce, if you do not respond then you will be removed from the game.
3. No posting in the thread during the NIGHT PHASE. Anyone posting during the NIGHT PHASE will be removed from the game.
4. No sharing of role PMs, you can role claim, but you cannot and must not use any wording from your role PM in the claim.
5. No death posting of any kind. If you wish to leave one final message for the game (which cannot have any game information in it) you may PM me your "Will" where you can leave a message to the fellow players such as "Good luck" or a funny gif.
6. No editing of your posts, if you are a repeat offender you will be removed from the game.
7. If roles which have actions during the night do not PM me during the night phase, then their role will not be performed.
8. All forum rules must be upheld in the thread.
Voting
1. Vote to lynch with the format "LYNCH Playername" or you can also vote "NO LYNCH"
2. Vote with the format "VOTE: Playername is (GUILTY/INNOCENT)" if your vote is not in this format your vote will not count.
Night Phase PMs
Due to people having different timing requirements, I'll allow all Night Phase PMs to be sent to me prior if necessary, but don't make it a habit if not necessary.
