Kabukicho, Tokyo Japan. The year was 1990. The dawn of a new decade. There was a crisp excitement in the air; you could almost feel the energy as you walked through the crowd. Business was up and to the outside, Kabukicho looked just like any other district. Tourists flooded the area like no other all to get a small exotic taste of the Japanese nightlife. Unlike elsewhere in Tokyo it was a place you could really feel alive.

In the shadows however things were not as they seemed. Criminal masterminds plotted and schemed their way to the top and the only losers were the common business owners. The Yakuza run this town. The police are doing their best, but even they're corrupt. The media say they've seen the detectives taking big bribes, but everybody is too scared to believe it. Anyone who steps out of line is silenced. permanantly.

This brings us to our story, Can the townsfolk oust these criminals from their streets, or will they die trying? Only time will tell.

The Basics

The game plays across two phases. First, we have the DAY PHASE.

DAY PHASE
This is the main bulk of play. Players can post and it's where the town get to make their move. The day phase will begins as soon as the night phase ends.

During the day phase, players get to vote a single player to be put up for lynch. They do this by posting LYNCH: playerName. This can happen at any time of the day, but must end by 6PM UK Time. Players may also vote NO LYNCH. If this wins the majority there will not be a lynch.

With a highest number of as of 6PM UK Time the player will be put in the stand and will go up for the vote to either save, or end their life. Players will vote up to 8PM by either posting VOTE: GUILTY or VOTE: INNOCENT in the thread.

At 8PM, the votes are tallied and if the player is found GUILTY they are executed and ejected from the game. Their role and Last Will will then be revealed to the thread.

Last Will?

A last will is a message from beyond the grave. At any time during the game players may make ammendments to their last will. This can contain any information that they have gathered and any suspicions they may have. Beware, if there is a forger in the game, they can forge your last will and change the information. Note. You cannot ammend the will after the end of the night/day phase you die and they can contain role related information such as your results.


At the end of the day phase, the game will head into the NIGHT PHASE at 9PM

NIGHT PHASE

During the night phase, anyone with night roles will PM me with their actions. Nobody is permitted to post in the thread until the night phase officially ends. Anyone who does will be ejected from the game. The night phase will end at 11PM, I will post the results of the night actions and the game will switch back into the DAY PHASE.


The Rules


General
1. Unless your Role PM explicitly says so, ALL game chatter must be posted in the thread. I repeat, no PM's are allowed unless your role explicitly says you're allowed to.
2. If you go two consecutive DAY PHASES without posting at least 2 posts in the thread, I will prod you for a responce, if you do not respond then you will be removed from the game.
3. No posting in the thread during the NIGHT PHASE. Anyone posting during the NIGHT PHASE will be removed from the game.
4. No sharing of role PMs, you can role claim, but you cannot and must not use any wording from your role PM in the claim.
5. No death posting of any kind. If you wish to leave one final message for the game (which cannot have any game information in it) you may PM me your "Will" where you can leave a message to the fellow players such as "Good luck" or a funny gif.
6. No editing of your posts, if you are a repeat offender you will be removed from the game.
7. If roles which have actions during the night do not PM me during the night phase, then their role will not be performed.
8. All forum rules must be upheld in the thread.

Voting
1. Vote to lynch with the format "LYNCH: playerName" or you can also vote "NO LYNCH"
2. Players will vote up to 8PM by either posting VOTE: GUILTY or VOTE: INNOCENT in the thread.

Night Phase PMs
Due to people having different timing requirements, I'll allow all Night Phase PMs to be sent to me prior if necessary.

Are those night phase times correct? So it's only active for two hours?

I backtraced the forum PM data and Denster received a PM exactly at the time the Mafia roles were being sent out. Just saying.

ALL ROLE PMS are now handed out. Game will start tomorrow as of 8PM.

No three strikes on rules where it states ejected from the thread. Post editing will however have three strikes.

There is a very good reason for it though. It's to stop people trying to PM in the thread. Say for example you organised with someone that you were going to post at x time, then you post, they see it and confirm and you edit it out.

It may seem stupid, but that could actually break the game.

Ok, to give myself something to read while at work, I'm going to do the sensible thing and start the game at 12PM today. (since I guess a lot of you have lunch at that time). All other timings will be as they are in the OP.

Sorry - utterly confused. So the first night phase (and when to send PMs if we have to) is from 12pm until...X?

Ok, so we're going to "start the game" in Day Phase, but it'll be Day 0 at 12PM onwards. Night 1 will be between 9-11PM tonight to match up with the normal timings. You can post any time from 12PM (game talk), but must stop at 9PM-11PM as normal.

To explain the rule on no night posting, it's to stop investigatory roles or protective roles from posting their targets the same night that they get killed (because they won't know they're dying until the end of the phase, but will get the results of their actions prior). If people want to share that sort of information now, they have a last will they can write and that may be PM'd to me at any time to update it, but not after they die. If they send it after they die no updates will be counted.
