why the Sims over Sims 2?

Never had the same hold over me. I know so much of the original Sims game by heart yet I didn't end up playing the sequel as much - probably mostly down to the fact that our PC at the time could barely run it. :lol:

I've no doubt it's the better game, but I'd far rather play the original.

I think my enjoyment of the story and the better soundtrack pushes it just ahead for me. I understand the complaints about the level design compared to the first but it wasn't something that bothered me too much. They're both very close.

I don't think it really makes sense to interleave a game like Counter-Strike: Source with a game like Metroid Prime on the same list, so I gave purely multiplayer experiences their own little section at the end. I guess it kind of feels to me like they should be ranked near the bottom of a top 20 anyway, so I'm happy with them just being 18/19/20.
