Oh I'm in the OP! Then I will join in with this. (I did say I would in t'other thread, didn't I?) Not sure how much progress I'll make as I'm pretty busy IRL ATM. But I'll keep an eye on the thread if anyone needs any help :)

Are people playing through to Gruntilda, or trying to 100% the game? And by 100% do we also include Cheato's spells and the Stop 'n Swoop eggs?

I'm okay with some folk wanting to follow Lotus' suggested plan. The challenge we have is that when we talked this over in the 'Appetite for B-K' thread, there was a wide variance in when people could play; some folk had already started and others couldn't start until June.

Let's carry on with the play and sharing our gameplay thoughts here. If some folk find that Lotus' schedule works well for them, that's cool too.

I'm mainly looking for something to play until Splatoon arrives so I will probably go at my own pace. The schedule by Lotus looks pretty good but I'd say you can get to Clankers Cavern really quickly. When I rented it back in the day I made it to Bubblegloop Swamp inside that weekend. I'd make the first week include TTC. I dont remember the end sections being all that long and Click Clock Wood is pretty big

Week beginning 16th-17th May
Spiral Mountain
Mumbo's Mountain
Treasure Trove Cove

Week beginning 23rd-24th May
Clanker's Cavern
Bubblegloop Swamp

Week beginning 30th-31st May
Freezeezy Peak
Gobi's Valley

Week beginning 6th-7th June
Mad Monster Mansion
Rusty Bucket Bay

Week beginning 13th-14th June
Click Clock Wood
Gruntilda /Endgame

Sure, I can't remember much about how big the levels are etc, so happy to go with that version.

Good man, addsy0 - I'll add you to the player list tomorrow! What system will you be playing on?

I've never played this but I have this and the second one on my X360. Are they worth playing or is it more a nostalgia thing?

I hadn't played it either so was in same boat as you, it seems pretty good so far, it is obviously old but it is still fun so if you have it jump in and join the party :D

Well worth playing, I never managed to get hold of banjo for my n64 so the 360 version is the only one I've seen. Has a few annoying quirks of its age, but it looks beautiful in that chunky 64 way, but in HD with a silky smooth frame rate

Try the demos to see if you get on with it.

Finally got the controls sorted and worked out what does what. There's a few glitchy bits but it's perfectly playable atm.
Remembering all the collectibles in this and Mumbo!
Aced the training and 100% on Mumbo's mountain. Onwards and upwards.

"So more GRcadians join the fray,
I'll reel them in and make them stay.

They're all aboard with bear and bird,
And in this thread they shall be heard!"

It's great to see more folk joining in with the B-K party. I'll be back tonight to update the player details table, add the schedule to the opening post (it's optional), and to see how you're getting on :-).

Started it this morning. Just trying to finish off treasure trove cave, how do defeat the big crab thing?

I have an urge to play a bit of nuts and bolts after this too.

Same here, it seems like a reasonable pace.

HM, you have to:
> Approach the crab, but not too close
> It will then pinch and swipe its claws for a few seconds
> When it stops, you can nip in between the claws and do Kazooie's rat-a-tat (forward thrust) move to poke the crab in the eyes
> Repeat until the crab is taken down!

I managed to make a bit of a mess while getting out my 360 so it looks like I've added more to my cupboard instead of removing something :slol: . Anyway, I've just set up my 360 :toot: and it has to download a console update :(

Nice one, Dragon. The system update is a fairly recent one - it adds the capability to use an external USB storage device larger than 32Gb. Hey-ho, on to Banjo!

I had forgotten how easy Mumbo's Mountain is, completed it in 15 minutes, now onto Treasure Trove Cove.
