Is this finished?

I only ask, because when we had a vote for the last one (which Okami just edged), the runner-up was Resi 4.

And Resi 4 is on sale on the PS3. So, y'know...

I'm going to pick this back up when my Xbox One arrives. It's too hot to use my 360 which gets pretty warm when playing.

Yeah, I think a few folk are still enjoying Banjo; and Tooie, in some cases.

But, hey, there's nothing to stop another GRcade Plays kicking off! I've not really played Resi 4 before but I do have the Wii version. Would you like to prepare the launch, Parksey?

Stopped playing this after Freezey Peak and didn't get back to it. I am metaphorically Jawa in Hyrule Field.

Still playing Tooie, I reckon I'm about 8 or so hours from the end! Could be keen on a Resi4 play through on the Wii after though!

I restarted Banjo-Tooie on the 360 shortly after its release on Live. And just as playing Kazooie again brought back lots of happy memories of playing it on the N64, replaying Tooie made me feel disappointed again, just like I did back in 2001. The worlds were big, but a lot of it was just - go to some place (Mumbo Jumbo / Humba Wumba / some pad) to take on some special form, go to switch and activate, go back to revert back to your normal form.
Tellingly, even though the worlds and the hub were a lot bigger, the actual number of challenges that gave you a jiggy was the same: 120. (The magic number for collectibles in 3D platformers, it appears).
And then, a number of these challenges was just plain not fun. I don't remember getting really frustrated over any of the challenges in Kazooie, Tooie had a couple I really hated. Worst contender: defend Chris P. Bacon from the oncoming fish. I could never find a good position to see them coming from all sides (stupid rope was in the way), so it was lots of fiddly get into position/get into 1st person/shoot fish/etc. And then worst of all, after you failed it, you didn't get your ammo restocked, no, you had to swim around and collect eggs (which also involved waiting for eggs to re-appear after collecting).
Hated it back then and hated it again.
Rant over.

Hahah thanks Watching Artist. I ended up using a guide in places. I've got everything on the level now bar two jiggies which I can't yet access. It really is the Water Temple in disguise. Very, very frustrating and ridiculously oversized. Please tell me the last two levels are not the same ....?

Grunty Industries is the best level in Tooie!

By the way, as I mentioned last week, I was thinking of doing a Resi 4 replay once this was over.

Here's the link to the topic I made to gauge interest:

The response so far as been overwhelming.

I finally started this today as I wanted to play it on Xbox One, and it plays really well. I've forgotten so many little things despite beating it so many times.

Just got all but one jigsaw in Freezeezy Peak, doing desert world next but I need to find where I can open it...

Hmmm Hailfire Peak is a bit too large for its own good, it's not a particularly difficult level, but it feels quite empty in places. Those aliens though ...

Annnd Banjo Kazooie completed.

I still hate Rusty Bucket Bay most. Ugh stupid level. But I loved every single moment of it (apart from music quiz on death tiles... but I used joker cards to skip death tiles), well worth a replay

I also started (well, carried over the save on 360 to cloud so I can play it on Xbox One with that save) Tooie today. I'm enjoying it far more than I do last attempts, it probably helps that I treated it as completely different game to Banjo-Kazooie. I'll argue there's still not great as superior original (and to some extent Nuts & Bolts which I also loved even if it's not traditional Banjo Kazooie game) but I'm enjoying exploring the worlds as well how they are connected with each other and I like all the new tricks.

Just done what I can in dinosaur world, tomorrow I'll tackle that ice/lava world. edit: oops, I meant Grunty Industries instead of that. I'm not looking forward to it. Think it's basically Rusty Bay level in Tooie...

I've had a nightmare on Hailfire Peaks - I only have 9 jiggies, but according to a guide I've done all 10 challenges. I saved the aliens and then collected the Jiggie as Mumbo, but I don't think the game has counted it. HELP!!!!
