I may have forgotten about this. Totally thought it was next week.

And I'm out tonight.

If three/four of you want to get together and do it tonight feel free. I'll edit and upload as normal.

Otherwise I'll get it done tomorrow night.

Good luck :slol:

Any chance whoever recorded it could send me the file so I can get started on editing it.

Hey guys.

Just a brief announcement to make about the future of the Podcast.

When I started doing all the various pieces of content that I've done over the past year with Mario Maker, ARcade Attacks, the E3 videos and now the Podcast, I always said to myself that I would continue doing them until I either didn't have the time or I stopped enjoying it.

While I still have the time, when it comes to the podcast I'm just not enjoying it anymore.

It came about off the back of the E3 Conference videos I did, with several people saying that we should do the podcast as well. So, since no-one else seemed to want to get the ball rolling I decided that I should at least kick it off. Perhaps it was that my heart was never completely in it, or that it was just never my idea in the first place, but now it's started to feel like an obligation, rather than the bit of fun that it should.

So it's with a heavy heart that I have to announce that I shall no longer be fronting the GRcade Podcast. I'm hoping that someone will take up the reins and carry it forward from here as I do think it's worth having.

If someone wants to take over the organisation, recording and editing then I'm more than happy to deal with the uploading and publishing of the Podcast. It'll allow us to maintain some consistency rather than having to start all over again with a fresh blog/iTunes thing. Just send me a PM if you're interested.

Most of all I want to thank everyone who's taken part in the show, left us feedback and subscribed. For the nine episodes we've released so far, we've had almost 350 downloads, which is far more than I ever expected.

I will finish off editing of Episode 10, which you can expect tomorrow night, but it'll probably be the last one that I do.

Thanks again guys.

That's a massive shame, but if you're heart isn't in it, then you shouldn't do it.

Yeah, sorry guys.

It's just reached a point where I genuinely dreaded having to put it all together.

It's not that it's difficult (It's actually surprisingly simple) it's just time consuming and not a process I particularly enjoy. I find video editing and production much more fun.

So yeah, hopefully someone can take over and keep it going.

Hopefully someone will step up. Also, don't apologise, you did it off your own back to start with and if you aren't happy doing it the best thing for you would be to stop.

I'm guessing you would take part as a guest though, yeah?

Well I enjoyed it while it lasted, maybe 10 is a good point to wrap it up. Shame we didn't get a single new member out of it (I don't think). Out of interest, what sort of numbers was it Doing? I guess it's a lot of time and effort if only 30 or so people are listening.

Currently at 25 subscribers, with a peak of 40 about a month or so ago. It goes up and down though.
345 total downloads.
About 30-40 per episode. Not bad for a wee Podcast.

Listening to and recording the podcast has been a lot of fun so thank you, Devlin, for making it happen. It's good to hear that there was an audience beyond those who posted in this thread.

I'll try to keep the podcast going. Would you mind going over what you use to edit it?

I am happy to organise a RAW and uncut version of the Podcast. Just think of the podcasts Me, Kil and Pedz were part of together, but with less editing.

How does that sound? :P

Had some interest, both in the thread and by pm., so thanks for the response guys.

I'm hoping to have someone confirmed by the weekend to give them time to get organised for next week.
Though of course they might have their own schedule and ideas.

The times they are a changin.

I know what you mean about audio editing especially for voice man, it's a bit of a slog. I'm wondering if it would work better in a live format just like radio? That way you can just record the stream (public or otherwise).

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

If I hadn't already decided to stop, this weeks episode would have pushed me there.
Jesus wept.
Should be up in the next hour or so.

I enjoyed appearing on the podcast & I've liked listening too (though I haven't listened to them all because the format is too long for me).

I am a complete amateur and I can't guarantee I'd enjoy it, but I would be happy to give being a moderator & audio editor for this a go, as long as everyone is OK with me mixing up the format a bit. Putting the time in over the weekend wouldn't be a problem for me, but if I didn't like it after a few eps I would stop. (Just throwing that out there, but if there's a better candidate then choose them! :P )

Here it is then, the last episode that I'll be dealing with!

It's a more manageable 90 minutes or so, simply because I ended up cutting out a lot of stuff.

If anyone wants the full, unedited 2hr 20 minute version (Complete with 20 minute section where Dragon dissapears for a gooseberry fool/wank) I'll make it available as well.

I'll hopefully have a successor lined up in the next few days. At that point we can discuss what exactly we'd like to see going forward, though I'm sure they'll have their own ideas.

Cheers guys.

It's the tenth episode of the GRcade Podcast!

Dragon hosts this week, with Kil, Qikz and Pedz joining him for some "interesting " discussion.

This time the guys discuss:

Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Heroes of the Storm and Final Fantasy VII.

Sombra gets released for Overwatch and NES Mini and PS4 Pro launch!

South Park, Gotham and the new Pretty Reckless album are distracting everyone from US Politics as Trumpaggedon takes root on the US.

Finally the guys descend into bashing Dragon who disappears for twenty minutes, before having a rather odd conversation about eggs.

EDIT: Here's a link to the full, RAW and UNEDITED original recording. Literally all I've done to it is cut out the longer periods of silence and it is otherwise presented "as is" for your consumption.
Enjoy... I think.

We did it Pedz/Kil. We've finally made the big time.

I ended up cutting out a lot of stuff.

I can't even remember what we talked about anymore. What was cut?
