GRcade ranks... Mario Kart! (home console)

Based entirely on OrangeRKN's Zelda thread

A ranking thread with a twist! Forget your own personal (and wrong) opinion, we're going to collectively come up with the definitive ranking of the home console Mario Karts.

Rules:

1) There is only one ranking.
2) Every time you post you should swap two games in neighbouring positions in the ranking.
3) You cannot post again until at least 2 other people have subsequently posted.

At midnight on Sunday/Monday the ranking will be finalised as the official GRcade ranking of the home console Mario Karts.

In the interest of fairness I have randomised the ranking to start:

LHC > 64 > Wii > 8 > DD > Super

(LHC = Live: Home Circuit
8 = both MK8 & MK8DX
DD = Double Dash!!)

Let's a-go!

I don't know Mario Kart that well, but I'm pretty sure this is a start we can all agree on:

64 > LHC > Wii > 8 > DD > Super

Going to abstain on this one, I've barely played any of them beyond 8DX, but I wish you all well!

I still think Super is an absolute blast, it feels amazing to nail the powersliding in. Still so charming aesthetically too, all the wine bottle victory animations!

EDIT: crap, my bad, I'll read the rules properly next time :simper:

I've only really played 8/8DX to any great extent; I just dipped my toes in with SNES, 64, Wii and DS/7. I won't vote but, yeah, 8/8DX is superb!
