I've always thought I'd like the FM games, but I've repeatedly bounced off them whenever I've given them a go.

The SNES ones are decent from what I know of the series and there was a remake of one or two of them released on Switch a few months back.

Nice one. That IREM cart is amazing. It being bundled with the handheld was a deciding factor in me buying.

Were the cheap carts eBay jobs? I haven’t got many of the Arcade series yet.

I purchased a year subscription to Antsream Arcade on Xbox last night. I'm not overly impressed with the quality of the stream. I tried to play some of my favourites from the past (Supercars II, etc.) And although it was nice to see them running again everything felt like it reacted just a touch too slowly. I really wish there was a better way to play with local installs and emulation.

Yep they went up on eBay stupidly cheap, I was randomly checking and they popped up as newly listed and I instantly clicked but now.. I'd already had a game from the seller so was sure they'd be as seen etc.

Cool, so long as there's not some sale I'd missed!

I guess eBay is OK for Evercade. Unlike GB/GBA carts, there's probably not enough demand to make it worth anyone making counterfeits!

MORE Evercade! I haven't got either of those yet, but I did pick up the Jaleco Arcade collection. Careful mentioning Intellivision - you'll set jawa off about the Amico. I think Shark Shark was meant to be one of the games on that thing.

Yeah I've really pushed the Evercade stuff maybe a bit hard, I have another arriving Saturday, I've been dieting and training hard for me... If I lose as much as I think I will when I'm weighed tommorow then I'll have lost 2 Stone total in 5 weeks. I've been eating between 700 and 1300 Calories a day (about 850 most) for like 33 days now and doing 50 sit ups a day.... When I can get to 50 sit ups in 2 minutes flat I'm sacking the diet of for a day and having a big curry but then getting straight back on it the next day (my best record so far is 50 in 2 minutes and 13 seconds)..... For the sort of well done your doing great keep it up stuff I keep turning to games.

It sounds silly but it’s a game you really want to immerse yourself in to get the most out of the story. The plot is largely political and the in-game internet goes a long way to really building the game world and make it seem as realistic as possible.

For what it’s worth I adore FM3 and its near-future setting. Easily my favourite TRPG of that era. Because there is a remake in development I doubt the original will ever come to PS4/5

Started playing castlevania aria of sorrow on the GBA. Not played it before, and it's excellent so far. Love this type of game, I've played a bit of one on the DS but never really got in to them.

Picked up the 360 version of the Orange Box today in an Oxfam bookshop. They occasionally have some really cool games alongside 15 copies of Fifa (I got Jade Empire from one last year).

Despite owning the 3 GBA ones physically , I grabbed the advanced collection on both Switch and Xbox, no idea why I got it on both, I've started the first one recently and it has reminded me how much I love them.

Just seen that SEGA Mega Drive Classics is just £4.99 on the PlayStation Store for Plus members. I already own the Ultimate Collection on PS3, plus the Mega Drive Mini 2. Is there any reason to purchase this one, as a fiver seems like a steal.

Nice one, KK. It’s only £6 on Xbox too, and I’d pay that for Story of Thor alone.

Still no idea why the Megadrive version of Virtua Fighter 2 is in that collection, it's utterly abysmal.

Rundown of the best PS1 RPGs of all time according to Time Extend...

https://www.timeextension.com/guides/be ... f-all-time

Somehow they've forgotten Alundra (which came out just before Resident Evil 2 in the UK, if I remember correctly) which was described as 'Zelda on the PlayStation' at the time. Will set you back a considerable amount on eBay now though (about 60 quid).

Oh god yes, Alundra is excellent. I’ve got that and the sequel. Didn’t realise its rarity. Fairly sure I also bought it as a download to play on Vita.
